"You shouldn't have been born!"
"Why do you always mess things up?!"
"At least try doing something right, you piece of trash!"
For years, I have heard countless insults. Worse, they're from my parents.
"Mooooommm!! I want that barbeque!"
"Okay, honey."
'Must be nice.' I thought as I stare at the two people in front of me while reading a book of something I'm quite interest of.
Why am I doing this again in broad daylight?
Well, to tell you the truth, I just escape from the grasp of those trash friends of mine.
I don't even know if I could even call them my friends anymore. Haha.
Sucking up to one another, they're life is pretty much pitiful to the point that they will wag their tails just for some small amount of respect.
Pathetic right?
And yet they have the audacity to call me as such? Pfft.. It truly makes me laugh how this petty world works.
If only, I can destroy it.
"You're a student, right? What are you doing here at time of class?" a person who can't mind his business suddenly talk to me as if he's concern.
But I know what he truly need, he just said that out of annoyance because I've been here since earlier morning.
'Gotta run!'
"Hey, wait!"
I immediately run off as I was half-heartedly chased by the guy whom I am familiar of.
I won't be describing him since he's a pain in the ass but he's been staying at that park since I starts to walk there whenever I cut classes.
However, we never know each other and barely talk.
Nevermind that, now that I have nowhere to go without any cash in hands, I just wander through the bustling streets.
This kind of thing scares me, a street full of people always makes me think I'm alone in this world. No one to talk to, no one to hang out with.
"Chris, you're here? Shouldn't you be at school, you goddamn brat!?"
"Oh, daddy. Can I stay here for at least until the class end?"
This person right in front of me is Edward, he's a middle-aged man, had a big belly with a glass supporting his useless eyes. People here call him daddy because of his fatherly figure, and just like that I also got used to it.
I never open up to him nor talk to him that much, but I know with those eyes of his, he can tell what's going on in my life.
"Sure, go ahead"
I entered a seemingly mess up house and slowly walk upstairs. There I saw a number of student like me, wearing their uniform. The only difference is that they're playing something from their rented computers.
"When was the last time did this place got raided, again?"
"Yesterday."
"Oh."
As funny as it sounds, this place always got raided by the authorities. It is known to people that most student who cut classes end up here which made the school report it to the zone officials, however, because of the owner's connection, it doesn't ended up being closed.
"Here."
Suddenly, the old man hand me over which seems like a cup of coffee. I furrowed my brows as I stare at him but soon receive it without further question.
However, as if reading my mind, he suddenly answered.
"Saw you, thought you might be hungry. Though I don't have anything to offer, at least I could give you a cup of coffee."
"Thanks."
"Don't mind, don't care, but at least take care of yourself. Look at you getting thinner and thinner. Is life really that hard? Haa~, you know, in my days, no one will hand us over if we don't work for it."
Listening to this old man, I took a sip from the cup and savor the tasty flavor of the coffee. I watch and observe the fellow students of mine as they play their ass as if their life is at stake.
I sigh as I find myself looking myself from them.
Why did I end up like this?
The clock hit 12 o'clock and students began to prepare their belongings while other starts to live the Cafe.
The next batch of students will soon come since it will be the time for the afternoon class to start. With this, it is also my time to go home like usual.
I close my books as I took one last sip from the already cold coffee that was handed to me by the old man a few hours ago. Still, it truly is delicious despite its freshness being gone.
As I hand over the cup to the admin of the Cafe, I bid my farewell as I walk down the stairs.
As soon as I left, the sun had already hit its peak and the bustling people before grew larger.
This time, students and workers can be seen walking here and there. And just like usual, I ended up becoming one of them.
Soon, I made my way to my home, a street which had so many memories back when I was a child is nothing but a void, full of lonesome street.
I walk my ass towards the two-story house and enter it. However, before I can enter it, someone called my name.
"Chris, I haven't seen you in class."
A low pitch, lady-like voice echoed to my ears from my right side as I open the gate.
I look at the source of the voice and what I found is a beautiful, black hair girl that stood around 170 cm. She's much taller than me if we stood to each other which only adds up to my insecurities.
'I'm way out of this girl's league' I thought as I give a dejected sigh.
"You did it again, didn't you? If you keep this up I will tell your parents!"
As soon as she said that, I glared at her and silently told her to shut her mouth, which didn't seem to work as her narrowed eyes stare at me.
"Look how you ended up, if only you-"
"Do you have anything to say? You'll probably just wasting your breath if you keep talking to me. Isn't that right, Michael?"
Michael, whose currently at her side, suddenly made a disgusted face as we both stare at each other. I simply look at him with the eyes with a deadpan expression as if telling them I have nothing to do with them anymore.
"Let's go, Mika. You're wasting your time to that piece of crap."
"W-wait. I'm not done-"
"Let's go!"
Thankfully, her older brother grab her for forcefully so she could go and leave with him.
However, before I could even enter my house, she made her one last statement.
"You're really a coward!" she said as she scream with full force.
And soon made enter my house with full of hatred and insecurities.
