Chapter 33 - An evil deity asks me for help [Bonus Chapter]

Tessa and Terry's match was so intense that it ruined ninety percent of the entire fighting area. So the matches were put on hold so that repairs can take place. We were informed that the matches will continue the following day at the same time as they were today.

I hadn't seen or heard from Celeste ever since she stormed out of the room after speaking in Vampire's tongue, which I didn't know I could translate till I heard someone speak it. My biggest mystery was what is 'the child of iron' and how did it connect to Tessa?

I couldn't talk to her because she was currently in the infirmary getting treatment. She had overdone it by absorbing the energy from the awkward attack Terry had generated. it was too much for a B-ranked magic-user to absorb. What was with that attack anyway? I had never heard of an attack like that in my whole life.

I was still walking through the hallway on my way to return Mr. Klaus' giant book. My mind was still drowned in my thoughts.

"What were you thinking by doing that spell?" I heard Rebekah's voice echo through the hallway.

"--I got carried away, I couldn't let some low rank beat me--" a boy answered,

I followed the direction where the voices were coming from. And they were coming from my classroom.

I stopped at the door, then inched closer to see what was going on. The door was halfway open so I was able to peep through. I saw Rebekah and Terry, they had frowns on their faces and seemed like they were arguing about something.

Rebekah chuckled with her hands crossed on her chest. "Really Terry, a low rank. That's all you cared about, what about all the lives that would have been lost if that spell went wrong. Did you know that stealing magical energy can shorten one's life force?" she asked him in an angry tone.

"Of course, I know that, I was there when dad explained how this ability of ours works," he said,

There was silence between them kept for a minute. I almost thought they had seen me.

"What if you killed her?" Rebekah asked,

"I was holding back. She wouldn't be alive right now if I didn't," Terry answered, he sounded so uncaring as if he knew that he wasn't going to cause any harm.

My hands suddenly got loose and I dropped the book.

**THUD**

Both Rebekah and Terry stopped talking. They must have heard the loud echo that was caused by my book. Of course, they heard it, who couldn't.

I rushed to pick up the book. I was about to make haste when I heard,

"Ralph Tally." Mr. Klaus had appeared behind me. His voice startled me so much that I could have jumped or even worse run away.

"Mr…Klaus…" I mumbled nervously with a shaky grin,

He scanned me before saying anything then his eyes landed on the book in my hand. His very serious face then immediately into something less horrifying.

"I just wanted to return your book," I said and put the book forward,

"Oh, did you find what you were looking for?" he asked while accepting the book.

"Yes, it does have a lot of stuff though,"

"Of course it does. It's an encyclopedia based on Mythical creatures. It's fascinating that it has existed for thousands of years and it still looks good."

I didn't know what to do. If Rebekah and Terry come out of the classroom they will find out that I was eavesdropping on their conversation. That's if they didn't hear Mr. Klaus call me at the top of his voice.

I then rushed to make up an excuse to leave. I lied to Mr. Klaus that I had training for tomorrow. And he surprisingly let me off his hook.

I dashed through the hallway and then out of the school. That was a close one.

It was just afternoon so I still had time to prepare myself. But I still needed to do more research on how I can charge a Kronos spell without dying.

HISSSSSSS!

I heard something behind me. I whirled my head to check, but nothing. It was just the parking lot. Maybe it was the wind.

I continued my journey out of the school. I didn't even know where I was going, but the more I moved the more I felt that presence. The wind didn't move right and the air was reeking of pure evil.

I felt a strong hand clamp on my shoulder.

I turned.

And the entire place shifted. I was still on the street but the world had changed into something a lot more terrifying. It was the world I had seen in my dreams. It now just looked empty but it was the same thing. Crashed buildings and planes. The world had been hit with Chaos.

"Atreigon, are you seeing this?"

"Am sorry lad, but your progenitor powers won't help you from here," something spoke from behind. It wasn't someone I could feel that whatever that was it wasn't human. But its presence wasn't the one I felt in my dream the other night.

I didn't want to look but I was curious. So I slowly turned to what it was.

It was a handsome white man with military-style cut hair dressed in a dark red suit. He looked very smart and reasonable as if he was a CEO of a big company. But that couldn't fool me, he wasn't human or supernatural I could feel it.

"Who are you? Or might I say…what are you?" My knees were shaking.

The man smiled while staring at me like he had been longing for this moment to happen. "Who am I?" he mused. "I am Denis, well that is what my friends call me."

He answered avoiding my second question, but just looking at his eyes gave me a feeling that if I ask I will be dead.

"Where are we?"

He stared at me skeptically. As if I was supposed to know where we are.

"This is a small pocket dimension, I created to simulate what I want in the future. And for my case I want chaos. So there you have it we are currently bonding in my personal space,"

After saying that, I was able to put the pieces together. The need to end the world, the strong evil feeling. "You're an evil god…" I mumbled, taking a few steps back.

The man smiled and broke into laughter. "Exactly, and I can't tell you my real name yet, but I can tell you why you are here," he said,

I said nothing. My heart couldn't stop hammering from fear.

"You are here because I want you to do something for me," he said,

My heartbeat slowed down.

"And what is that?"

"Well, I want you to kill the one evil god staying on earth. He is a traitor to our kind,"

"Kill!…. I can't,"

The man chuckled and then appeared closer to me. His eyes glowed and I saw myself killing my friends. I was holding a blade and I was stabbing Celeste in the heart over and over again as she begged me to stop.

"Stop!" I yelled, but no sound was coming from my mouth.

I was brought back to reality. "What was that?"

"That was your true nature as a dark elf," he said.

"My true nature as a Dark elf…." I repeated. this was the second time hearing that.

"Listen to me lad. We are coming for your world and we will burn it to cinder and ash because it pleases us. The demon lord was wise to choose our side. You have the potential to stand aside  gods, humanity, and the supernatural stand no chance against us,"

"You're wrong. We will kick your asses and maybe even have enough time to throw you back," I don't why I said that,

The man laughed, "I love your spirit lad, but we'll see what happens next. And by the way, if you kill the evil god for me, I will give enough power to perform your Kronos spell,"

"But how do I kill him?"

"Simple he lost his god powers, he's now just a pitiful vampire awaiting his death. Get him out of the house and stab him in the heart. I will wait for your reply after the tournaments when you are strong enough."

He snapped his fingers and I was back on the street.

Talking to a god had given me an idea. What if I could instead harness the evil god's magical energy using the ability to absorb magical energy and then use the energy stolen to cast the Kronos spell.

This might work. but I needed to acquire the skill first. And lucky for me I just needed to use Atreigon to learn when Terry or Rebekah are using the skill. thought that I will be able to use the skill, by copying it, or maybe I already had it and I don't know yet.

Might sound like a long shot but I had to try.

A few hours earlier...

Celeste stormed into the ladies' room. She was sweating and her eyes couldn't stop glowing. It was as if she had seen a ghost. She faced the room mirror and stared at herself while breathing heavily. She started seeing flashes of herself in the mirror but they weren't flashes of herself.

They were flashes of other vampires. They had pale skin, they lacked eyes and their eyelids had been sewn together.

These vampires were ghosts and they were collecting themselves behind her.

She could only see them through the mirror, she was horrified.

"We were killed by the iron children, we only wish for you to avenge us," said one of the ghosts. It was a ghost of a girl, she was in rugged clothes, no shoes and looked very filthy. In her hands, she had a doll of a teddy bear.

Celeste remained silent looking at herself in the mirror. She squeezed the sides of the ceramic sink and it started cracking from her strength.

She was angry.

"As the current vampire progenitor. I swear to avenge those who died at the hands of the iron children," she recited and all the vampire ghosts in the room disappeared,
