In the city of Terrestrial, every building was completely modernized with unimaginable technologies surrounding people's lifestyles. No matter where people walked, they would see a large screen platform showcasing the biggest wedding today.
That's right, today was Emma Windsor's wedding day with her beloved soon-to-be husband. Emma Windsor's family owned one of the largest real estate companies and could be said to be the core of Terrestrial.
Every year, old buildings would be demolished to create new buildings equipped with the latest technology. It just so happened that today was another celebration for the Windsor family because they had successfully purchased a large acre of the old land, ready to be demolished and rebuilt into a new modern era.
Though none of those businesses matter to a lovely and gentle woman who only had her eyes on her future husband.
"Emma, stop moving around. I can't put on your makeup when you keep wiggling like that."
"I'm sorry Priscilla, but I just can't help it," Emma responded with a bright smile. "I can't wait to hold his hand and make a family."
Priscilla sighed softly at the love-sick Emma. Even now, she couldn't understand what she saw in that man. However, as her good friend, she would respect her decision and agreed to be a bridesmaid.
"Try to limit your excitement, Emma. I'll try my best to put the powder on your face." Priscilla said. In her hand, she was holding a famous brand of Dephora foundation brush to lightly pat on Emma's cheek.
Meanwhile, Emma kept her eyes on the mirror in front of her. She had long silver hair, red eyes, and a heavenly appearance that could topple a kingdom with one glance. She was dressed in the traditional long white wedding gown that oozes out an innocent and charming mood.
Emma held a blissful smile as she looked forward to this day for a long time.
"Hmph, why are you helping her out, Priscilla. You should just let her rot."
While Priscilla and Emma were having a peaceful conversation, a cranky and notorious voice echoed from behind.
Turning around, Priscilla noticed it was the unwelcomed woman on the wedding night.
"Francesca…" Priscilla muttered in disgust.
"Why are you intruding here, Francessa? This is for the bride and bridesmaid only." She said calmly. "Emma is getting married tonight, so if you're not here to congratulate her, then please leave the room."
"Tch, always having a group of women as soldiers huh, Emma?" Francesca snorted coldly. She held a fierce glint as she looked at Emma's gown up and down.
'Just be happy for a few hours, Emma. After tonight, you won't be remembered anymore.' She sneered coldly.
Francesca then slammed the door as she left the room, leaving Emma and Priscilla alone.
"Are you alright, Emma?" The moment she was gone, Priscilla asked Emma in concern.
Emma nodded her head calmly. "I'm alright, Priscilla. We all know what Francessa is like and why she's mad."
That's right, the groom tonight was liked by Francessa except it was an unreciprocated love. The groom had never loved her, so she had turned jealous and angry at Emma throughout their college year.
Hence, it wasn't a surprise that Francessa would come tonight to try to mess things up for her. Francesca's father was still a highly influential person in the business cycle, so she was invited despite their sour relationship.
"Let's just continue the makeup, Priscilla." Emma smiled gently.
Seeing her smile, Priscilla sighed as she nodded her head. "Alright then."
Time slowly passed by, and it was time for the wedding ceremony to commence. The wedding was a church-like style with a pope standing in the center while the guests were seated on the benches from the side.
"May the bride enter," The pope announced aloud. Soon, melodious music played as Emma slowly entered, walking through the aisle covered in red carpet. Her face was filled with joy as she glanced at her groom from afar.
The groom also had his face focused on Emma as he smiled. He was dressed in a white suit, revealing his fit physique.
His black hair was gel and enhanced his handsome aura. His crystal blue eyes remained focused on Emma Windor's face as he extended his hand out. Emma kindly placed her hand on his palm.
Meanwhile, on one side of the bench, Francessa flashed a wicked smile on her face.
'Enjoy it while it lasts, Emma. This is your punishment and price for being haughty.' She sneered inwardly. Her eyes were focused on the groom instead of Emma, and within her eyes, they were filled with love.
The wedding ceremony ended in a harmonious manner once the bride and groom finished speaking their vows. The guests were all then assigned to the garden where they would enjoy a buffet-style to celebrate.
–
"Why did you bring me out here in the dark, Justin?" Emma Windsor asked in a confused tone. They had just finished their vows and should be in the garden as the host.
"I wanted us to be alone, Emma," Justin replied in a calm tone. He pulled her closer to him and planted a light kiss on her cheek.
Emma blushed slightly as she coyed around his arms. She was just a light-hearted woman in love with him.
However, while leaning on his chest, Emma suddenly noticed a change in atmosphere.
"Justin?" She called out. "Why is it suddenly so windy here?"
Hearing no reply, she tilted her head up and saw Justin curling his lips in a wicked-like manner.
"W-What's the matter, Justin?" She asked in concern, extending her hand out to try and touch his chin to caress him.
But before she could touch it, Justin smacked her hand away and pushed her down.
His gentleness and kind aura vanished completely as he held a cold expression.
"Is everything completed?" He yelled out, shocking Emma.
'Who else is here?' She wondered silently.
Soon, her question was answered when Francessa walked out fabulously to Justin's side. She stood next to him and wrapped her arms around his, looking like a young couple.
"Darling, everything is completed. Emma's father had just died from a heart attack after eating the laced poison cupcake. All that is left is this whore." Francesca said, leaning her head on his shoulder.
Emma's face froze in place as she looked at Justin in disbelief. "What is Francessa speaking, Justin? What does she mean my father just died? Why are you cuddling with her? What is going on?"
She was so shocked by the current scene that she asked a bunch of questions to Justin.
"Isn't it obvious by how it looks, Emma?" Justin sneered coldly. "Never once did I love you. Not in the past, and definitely not in the present. If it weren't for your rich family assets behind you, then I wouldn't even glance at you."
"Darling, just kill this whore already. I have waited long enough for this day to happen. Did you know how much my heart aches when I see you act lovey-dovey to this whore?" Francesca fanned the flame by speaking like a typical witch. She was acting coy and innocent in front of Justin while speaking notoriously to Emma.
Justin nodded his head. He raised his hand up to signal the sniper that was hiding in the forest.
"Remember our vow previously when you asked if I would love you forever? Let me tell you my answer- the real answer now. Never once did I love you." He said coldly, putting his hand down.
BOOOOM!
Before Emma could reply, a bullet pierced through her heart. In her last moment of life, she could only feel despair and grief from the betrayal of who she thought was the love of her life.
Not only was she rejected in the cruelest and most vicious manner, but she was also about to die at the hands of the man she loved.
'No wonder why father always warned me about Justin in the past.' A few droplets of tears escaped from the corner of her eyes as she collapsed to the ground.
She gritted her teeth in anger despite the blood pouring out of her heart.
And in her final breath, she swore to heaven, "Since you played me for a fool and rejected my sincere love for you, then watch how I'll obtain my vengeance."
Emma Windsor, the beautiful heir, had died on the day that was supposed to be her greatest and memorable night.
