Chapter 5 - He Doesn't Deserve It

"My darling Tris, what are you doing? Why do you want to divorce Victor? Aren't you just presenting him on a platter to that other woman?"

There was a hint of shock in her anxious voice. Fiona, Tris' best friend, walked over to Tris and held her hand tightly. She looked at Tris worriedly and worried that her heart might be broken because of love.

"Fiona!" Tris hugged Fiona tightly.

It was so good to see her best friend again!

Fiona patted Tris' back gently. "It's okay. I will always be on your side! And I will not allow Victor to do anything to let you down!"

Fiona thought that Tris was sad because of Victor.

She pulled her friend to a quiet place and smiled indifferently. "Victor? I've closed the door in my heart to him. I'll only love those worthy of my love from now on!"

Fiona couldn't believe it. After all, Tris was still in love with Victor yesterday.

No, Tris had always regarded Victor as the most important person in her life! Fiona had witnessed the two walking hand in hand all these years. She was even more worried that Tris would be heartbroken because of Wendy's arrival.

"Fiona, believe me. I did love him once, but if he is the kind of man to flick me away because of another woman, he is not worthy of my love."

Fiona felt that Tris had become different.

In fact, Fiona had always secretly felt that Victor didn't deserve Tris!

Tris was the daughter of the Alpha, the most beautiful girl in the tribe. Many men in the tribe had a crush on Tris.

Tris was not inferior to a man in combat power as a woman.

But as for Victor, he was just a very ordinary man to Fiona!

However, in the past, she was not in a position to say anything since Tris liked Victor so much.

Now, seeing that even Tris realized that Victor was not a man worthy of her heart, Fiona was thrilled.

"That's right! Victor has not even been to the battlefield. How can he be considered a warrior? Tris, you have made the right decision!"

Victor hadn't gone through any tests to become an Alpha because of Tris' status. This was also why the elders and tribespeople weren't very convinced of his capabilities.

Even Fiona had participated in the peacekeeping patrols at the tribal borders and contributed to fighting the bandits to the death.

As for Victor? Fiona looked down on the man who had relied on Tris to become an Alpha!

"However, it's not easy to divorce Victor. He's the Alpha of the tribe now..." Fiona began to worry again.

"That's right! Victor is naturally unwilling to let go. He still needs me to help him establish his prestige and consolidate his position." Tris smiled. The sunlight shone on her light golden curly hair, making her look beautiful. "I think he must think that I'm just throwing a tantrum with him now. I can guarantee that he'll come and look for me tonight."

"So, how do you plan to deal with him?" Fiona blinked. "Why don't you come to my place and hide? I promise to help you chase him away!"

Fiona's combat strength was almost as good as a Beta's. Many of Tris' fighting techniques were taught by Fiona, and Fiona was a person to use her fists when it came to resolving issues.

Tris laughed. "Oh, there is no need, my dear. Leave him some dignity. I'll take care of this. Please wait for me in the Dark Forest at night. I'll find you."

After the two parted ways, Tris returned home.

This was no longer her home. Soon, it would be Victor and Wendy's love nest.

Tris smiled mockingly and packed her things.

She was bending down when she suddenly felt a man approaching her and pulling her into his arms.

Victor's kiss fell like raindrops on her fair and slender neck.

"Darling, I can't live without you. You must be resenting me. But I promise you. You're the only one in my heart... Please, don't divorce me, okay? You're just angry, right? I ask Wendy to stay at Grandma Jenny's house. This house will always be your home and mine, and you'll always be my Luna..."

Victor was an intelligent guy, and even though he was in love with Wendy, he resisted the urge to keep her by his side.

He knew that Tris was still of use to him.

Tris felt him tugging on her belt.

She would melt into Victor's caress and coyly cater to his needs in the past.

But now, when she thought of Victor's hands touching and hugging Wendy, she felt extremely disgusted.

Tris quietly took a step back and avoided Victor's touch. Then, she said, "Victor, we can discuss the divorce again, but I am moving out. We both need to calm down. If... If you still think that you love me more after thinking about it, then come and see me again..."
