Tris could not just divorce Victor now. Even though she could get half of their assets if she divorced now, her tribespeople would all fall into Victor's hands!
So, she did not force Victor to divorce her immediately. Instead, she gave Victor a little hope, making him feel that she needed a little time to calm down.
A hint of disappointment and heartache appeared on Victor's face.
'What good acting...' Tris thought mockingly in her heart.
"Darling, I knew you still loved me. I'm afraid I would suffocate to death now if I lost you! I agree that you should take a few days to calm down, but you must believe my sincerity. I'll always be here waiting for you to come back. Darling, let me kiss you. You scared me earlier..."
Victor looked at Tris tenderly. His deep eyes seemed to be electric, emitting seduction.
Tris could not help but think that she had once been lost in his gaze.
When he looked at her tenderly, she felt as if Cupid's arrow had hit her. Her heart belonged to Victor.
But now, she had her heart back.
She would not let anyone take away her heart again.
"No, my darling, Wendy will be sad if you do this. You should go and comfort that poor girl. She must have been scared at the tribal meeting today. I'll be fine, don't worry... I'm done packing. I'll leave now." Tris took her bag and left without looking back.
Victor stood there pitifully. The love in his eyes was still burning, but the person he wanted to express his love to had already run away.
Victor returned to the big tree behind Grandma Jenny's house. Wendy was still waiting for him.
"Victor!" Wendy threw herself on Victor, tears in her eyes. She looked at him pitifully. "I thought you wouldn't come to see me tonight because of Miss Tris!"
"Sweetheart, how could I? You are the mate given to me by the Moon Goddess. No matter where I am, my heart will always be with you..."
The two kissed passionately, wishing that the big tree beside them would become a bed so that they could roll onto it immediately.
"Well, come back tomorrow late at night. I just moved here today. I'm afraid of being found out," Wendy said with a red face.
Victor looked at her with a genuine gaze. "Sweetheart, you're so charming."
Wendy stared at him shyly and pouted. "Do you tell her the same thing?"
Wendy thought of Tris' face, once favored by the Moon Goddess, and felt instantly jealous.
"How could I? I've known her for so many years, but I've never said that before." Victor chuckled.
In the first two years Victor had known Tris, he had thought that Tris was so beautiful that he had fallen head over heels for her. After getting used to it, he no longer felt that Tris was stunning. He thought her ordinary now.
Moreover, Tris usually did not pay much attention to her appearance. Her clothes were either formal and solemn or simple and plain. She did not even wear any accessories.
Unlike Wendy, who always dressed up like a beautiful flower, Wendy seemed different every day he saw her. One day she was wearing a cute little skirt, and the next day, she was wearing sexy black stockings.
Victor liked this. It was fresh and exciting.
Oh, Wendy was indeed his true love. He loved every good thing about her.
The two kissed for a while, and Wendy said, "Is she still going to divorce you?"
Wendy wished that Victor and Tris would get a divorce right away so that she would not be treated like a mistress.
She was Victor's true love, but now it was as if she had stolen Tris' man! Hmph!
"She's just throwing a tantrum and trying to get my attention. After all, she loves me so much. She must be in pain and suffering right now..."
Victor sighed and smiled again. "I've already comforted her. She's a very obedient woman. She always listens to what I say. There's no way she'll divorce me."
Wendy was jealous of her lover talking about other women. She asked him bitterly, "Are you saying that I'm not obedient?"
Wendy was usually very coquettish. She constantly pestered Victor to buy her jewelry and beautiful clothes. Now that Victor was talking about Tris, she couldn't help but compare herself to Tris.
Victor laughed loudly. "You're my precious little princess and little angel. Whatever you want, I'll give you with both hands. You don't have to be obedient and sensible. I'll give you my whole love."
Wendy smiled in satisfaction. She thought Tris could not be compared to her. She was just a woman that Victor despised.
While the two were being intimate, Tris had already arrived at the periphery of the Dark Forest.
"Fiona, I'm going in. Stay here and watch my back."
"No problem."
Tris could trust her Beta to do this, but she still trusted her best friend more.
She walked into the woods and began to run slowly, summoning her wolf.
"Maggie, my dear Maggie, where are you? Can you answer me?"
