I arrived at his house a few minutes to ten. It was late for that time of day and I was shivering as I stood at the front door waiting to be let in. I knocked again and rubbed my hands together. "Quen it's me! Let me in." I shivered. "It's deathly cold out here," I said the last part to myself, looking around.
Quen lived in his own house, not quite on the outskirts of mine but it was close to the park and therefore had woods in his backyard. This was quite the affluent neighborhood, his uncle had willed him the house which had prompted his move here in the first place. All the neighboring houses were quiet and no car had driven past in the entire time I'd been there. I shivered again, this time from a weird chill that went down my spine.
I raised my hand to bang the door again and Quen opened the door. "I don't think this is a good time, Elina." He said and I frowned at him. The way he angled his body wasn't let me see inside.
