The poor maid whimpered in fear. It had only just occurred to her that it seemed like she heard something from inside the princess's room. It had been as if people had been discussing but then, she had quickly dismissed it wondering who the princess would be talking to. Princess Yuri had discharged all of them saying that she wanted to sleep, to be alone. So, the maid thought it must be her nerves making her hear things as they'd been raging since it spread that there was an intruder within the palace, and to make matters worse, among them.
She remained quiet, not knowing what else to say. The maid was frightened being scolded by Sally and in the presence of the head of the royal guard. It was only by a slight chance did she not have a panic attack right there and then. Her head remained bowed as she chewed on her bottom lip. The maid knew that if they asked her what she heard at that minute, she'd have nothing tangible to tell them.
