I woke filling pain through my body. Yuka were lying close, their face within my reach, divine, I could not bring myself to touch it...
Their eyes were shut, curvy lines of them resembled bird wings with those feathery eyelashes - birds flying across the winter sky of their face, above the mountain ridge of their lips.
I must go.
I raised my aching body and looked at the window: the sunrise was almost due. I came to the source of light and shut the curtains. The room instantly filled with darkness.
I decided not to search for my clothes and just left the room.
The shards of glass which quite recently were assembled in the jug were still lying on the floor. The floor had already dried and I bend to collect the shards.
I noticed that my legs were painted in some red crust. I should bathe.
With shards in my hands, I got to my room. After disposal of the remains of my late jug, I entered the bathroom to wash this night away.
I was sitting in a bathtub, re-leaving the event. I thought about how pathetic I was and how desperate I looked.
I slept with a monster, was devoured by it, begged for its touch... And I liked it.
Was that... supposed to happen? The King said I should have been on the Ball. Maybe that was what he saw? Well, in some way...
I didn't believe in fate, I didn't believe at all, I didn't like the concept... But I knew forseeres could feel the future. Moreover, I already knew what future awaited me.
I was done bathing and dressing and looked in a mirror hanging above my table:
"They were just thirsty and you were just there. One should be blind to actually be sexually attracted to you, to be honest..."
I put my glasses on, sighed and left the room for the morning assembly.
