The ambassador occupied the armchair in the library. My armchair. I mean the one I was always sitting in. I mean... Who cares what I mean anyway?
I made her some hot chocolate and brought a towel so she could erase the sights of rain from her body. Then I was sent away. The book remained unridden.
'Why am I... Why am I even thinking of this?! My Lord's teacher and friend came here through storm looking like shit and I am like this?! Is it... Jealousy? Am I jealous of all that attention...? Am I that bad...?' I thought while walking up the stairs and to my room.
"I want someone to talk with me about my feelings too." I muttered entering my "little fortress".

In morning I came to know that now all of the library was occupied. Very diplomatic.
And why should I go check on her?!
I was angry, it was stupid and unreasonable, but when I came inside the library it was all gone.
The ambassador was a mess. And I knew this type of a mess very well...
She was lying in the armchair, covered by some heavy blanket, her "braids" was all over the place ( literally, some of her "braids" were hanging from a bookcase while others tangled with a plant standing near the exit), the eyes dully staring in "abyss", and though her body was there, her mind was nowhere.
I stepped over another "braid" and sat before the armchair.
"The ambassador, can you hear me?"
She did not answer, but a dim light appeared in her eyes and I took it as a sign.
"Are you... suffering from Shadow mind?"
She looked at me incredulously.
"Are you a vampire spy or something...?"
It was so unexpected so I started laughing. And may I say, I laughed hard.
"Why... Why are you laughing?! It is a very thoughtful question!"
"Oh, lady ambassador, why do you even think I can be a spy, let alone the vampire spy?"
"You were there! With Yuka! I mean... with the Vampire Overlord...!"
"Oh. Then I could be the starling spy too."
"What nonsense!"
"Well you've read my future when I was little... It is somewhat the same level of acquaintance we're sharing..." It wasn't that same though, because I saw Overlord's genitals, but I wasn't going to disclose that information.
"Did I? What had I told you?"
"That I will suffer all my life and die in loneliness."
"Oh..." She looked at me with her eyes pleading 'please, tell me it was a stupid joke', but it wasn't.
"You also said that you see only black. My family took it as 'get rid of her, quick'."
"Well blackseeing can be interpreted like that..."
"Then you can be at ease, they did that. I am dead, officially."
"Huh?!" Her "braids" flikered. Yes, they're luminescent.
"Tamara Bright died and Tamara Freeman was born."
"Bright?! You are from the Bright family?"
"No. I said she is dead, I am Freeman."
"I... don't understand... The Brights only have one child."
"So they cleaned my name even from the Archives, hm, interesting." I looked the ambassador in her dim lit eyes. "Do you really not remember me?"
"I am sorry, I don't." She sighed guiltily.
"Can I ask you something?"
"I guess..."
"Lady ambassador, I beg you, do not forget me before tomorrow. I don't want to tire myself with this spy game again."
She giggled.
