Cameron's POV
I couldn't stand the sight of her at the hospital and so I had to leave. I think I'm overreacting but then what am I supposed to do? It hurt a lot and a lot of things has changed since we split. I was desperate to get her back but ego wouldn't let me.
I wasn't even able to stay by her side seeing that she isn't fine🤦.
I lay on the bed, legs crossed ontop each other and hands crossed under my head on the pillow. I stare at the ceiling for a while before turning to face the other side. Yeah I was vibrant in school and acted like nothing happened, I just wanted her to know how I felt when it was very obvious Jed likes her and she was tripping for him. I saw the hurt in her eyes today when she was having chocolates in a tub of vanilla ice cream. I was craving it, seeing her eat it alone with hurt in her heart gave me a bit of pleasure but it made me sad the most. I wasn't comfortable eating waffles but I had to pretend like I was enjoying it.
I could tell she was very nervous and was filled with guilt, which is why she passed out. I don't know but that's just how her body decides to react to certain issues. I'm the worst human, I'm meant to put our differences behind and stay with her till she's fine but what did I do? I left. I'm such an asshole.
I stay up a little longer justifying myself before slowly drifting off to sleep.
**********NEXT DAY OF SCHOOL***************
I wake up to the sound of water droplets on my window pane. I stretch myself and yawn. Open my exercise app and get on with my exercise. I do 50 push ups, some sit ups and some weight lifts before heading for the bathroom with my towel.
I step out of the bathroom at exactly 6:59am. I was running late and I had to hurry. Mom already had Emily bring my food to my room. On the bedside table sat a plate containing 3 slices of pizza and an orange juice to go.
"Uh hi Emily. I saw the food and I would really appreciate it if you could pack it up in a tiny box and stuff it in a plastic bag and hey, don't forget to put it in my car, thanks". I say and hang up.
Emily's our house help.
I apply some shine to my hair, combing it through before putting on my clothes. I dash out of the room 10 minutes later. I didn't care much about how I looked right now, the person I'd love to look hot for isn't in school so I didn't bother much.
"Stacey's been discharged from the hospital. Oh urrrggghh, she won't stop calling. Called the landline multiple times, called my phone too. I guess she called yours. You should drive her to school today". Mom says.
I wasn't aware she called and I haven't even glanced at my phone since I woke up. I take out my phone from my side pocket and turn it on. I was graced with a sight of 15 missed calls...13 from Stacey and 2 from Marina. I sigh.
Why'd Marina call me? I thought.
I touch my pockets to be sure I wasn't forgetting my wallet. I realize I already put that in my pocket.
"Alright mom, I'll be leaving". I storm out of the house to the car park. I'm happy I'm gonna be seeing her today. I get into my car and put my rear view mirror to face me and then I check my face and hair, do a little touches with it, satisfied with the look, I drive out of the car park.

I get to her house and she was standing outside dressed for school. I second guessed she could be waiting for Miguel but since he hasn't showed up yet, I got a chance on this one. I thought.
I alight the car and walk up to her, greeting her before walking her to the car.
I get on with driving after we had both settled in the car.
Her hands were trembling and she kept stealing glances at me.
"I like your hair". She bites her lower lip.
"You noticed, thanks". I say maintaining a stern face but deep down I was smiling.
There's an awkward silence till we get to the school. I help her down and walk into the school with her but we don't say a thing.
"I'm sorry". She says but I pretend not to hear.
"I'm sorry for everything, I like Jed no doubt but I was never cheating on you, I would never cheat-".
I see Marina and walk up to her, abandoning Stacey behind. I wasn't even listening to her and I didn't let her finish before walking up to Marina, leaving her behind.
I felt bad for what I did, but I felt it nice to play hard to get. I'm pretty sure I hurt her feelings from the way she glared at me with a mixture of hurt and disgust in her eyes before walking away. I ignore her glares and walk away, talking and laughing with Marina.
We leave together for art class.
"Good morning, class?" Ms Harmony says after Marina and I get settled beside each other, Stacey sat behind us.
"Okay, so, we're going to be drawing some things. Seek your inspiration and draw your inspiration. Draw what or who inspires you. You're gonna draw things according to your emotions too. So, firstly, you draw your inspiration and secondly, draw anything that depicts your emotions. This project would be your test and exams and would help you level up. It should be submitted during break. I'm sorry I can't teach today, pardon my manners. I need the assignments during break, thank you". She says and exits the class.
"Inspiration?" Marina asks.
"What's your inspiration?"
"Hmm, let's see🤔🤔".
I'm pretty sure Stacey's ears itched to hear what she would say.
"I would say my mom and uh... Lady Gaga. I wouldn't even try drawing Lady Gaga, hell no". She says laughing.
"Yeah, but you have to".
"Speak of which, what's your inspiration?" She asks.
I could feel Stacey's cold stare in me, like she was staring at my soul....coldly. I rub the back of my head and laugh.
"What?" Marina asks laughing with me.
"Urrh...nothing. I'm inspiration less. 😅😅if that's even a thing". I say.
"Hmm...lies Cam, you're really lucky I'm not in the mood, I'd have forced you to tell it". She says.
Her hairpin falls on the floor in front of me and she bends to pick it, her boobs exposing from her top, she was this close🤏to me. Stacey heaves a sigh and walks out of her seat. I watch her closely, she walks up to Jed and they get on, talking and laughing and it makes me really jealous. She returns to her seat couple of minutes later with Jed holding her hand.
"Yo man! What's up?" Jed says with outstretched arm. I look at him for a couple of seconds before taking his hand and shaking him the way guys do. I smile at him and say I'm fine man.
He settles beside Stacey and she looks up at him, they were talking about inspirations.
"Yeah, I got you something Stace". He says and brings out a box of candy from his bag.
At first I don't get annoyed about the candy stuff but when I see it's a love shaped candy although the wrap is blue, and seeing her smile wildly hurt me.
"Oh....my.....gosh, thanks Jed!" She says in excitement hugging him.
He clears his throat and she pulls away.
"Oh, I'm sorry for the hug, I'm just excited. Thanks Jed". She says.
" I also got you writing tools and art tools. You mentioned you love writing and art work, you said you needed a tablet with a pen and uh, some other stuffs, said you needed glitter, glitter glue, glitter pen and glue gun....I also got you 3D pen!" He says making me jealous. He hands her the stuffs.
She smiles at first and then it wears off.
"This means a lot to me, Jed especially as they're the most important things I've always wanted to possess, but they're a little too much for me. I appreciate though, but I can't take them. I'm so sorry, tell me how much it costs, I'll refund you". She says and a little smile plays on my lips. He looks at her with hurt in his eyes but he smiles it off assuring her that it's all fine and that he'll just return it back and get his money and so, there'll be no need for a refund. She thanks him for understanding and they both walk away.
