I opened my eyes to the comforting warmth of the nest, I stretched to loosen my stiff muscles, looking around I see Mom and Dad still sleeping so I start to inspect our nest, I look back and the nest was on fire, I had already guessed it was magic, I looked closely and found several vines intertwined forming a basin, the vines did not burn even in the fire, I took one of the vines and started to inspect it, it had a strange feeling when touching it almost felt like it was not entirely solid, it suddenly disappeared.
"Magic?" I spoke out aloud, wondering about the vines.
"Indeed" A voice came behind me, a voice comes from behind me, I turn around scared by the loud sudden sound and face my father's abyssal eyes.
'Dad':"Good morning little one." He said happily.
'Dad':"Now, lets get out and leave your moth-".
'Mom':"No need.". She said giving me another scare.
'Dad':"Ah, you're up already, good morning.".
'Mom':"Good morning, lets wake the others.".
She picks me up and puts me on her back, we leave the room, she knock at one door and stop in front of the other doors.".
'Dad':"Cover your ear." My dad warn me and cover his own ear, I imitate him.
My mother then inhales and tilts her head back then forward and exhaling all the air in a scream, she yelled so hard it made the ground shake.
'Mom':"GET UUUUUUUUUP!".
After the yell a became so dizzy that i almost fell of my mom's back, then two grunts of dissatisfaction came from the rooms, two of the doors opened and Lon and Lyra came out.
Lon:"Why does every morning start with this?".
'Mom':"if you're complaining, wake up early and cover your ears.".
Lyra:"But why you don't just knock at the door like you do to Tay?".
'Mom':"Because you two don't wake up with just a knock! And i've tried many times!" She said angrily.
Lyra:"Okay, calm down, Hey little guy how you doing?" She avoided the conversation and asked me.
"Lyra!" i still don't understand what she says so i just called her in response.
Lyra:"Yeah i am Lyra." She chuckled.
Tay:"Good morning Mom, good morning Dad." Tay come out of his room.
'Mom':Ah, Tay can you go buy something breakfast?".
Tay:"No problem.".
She take me to the living room table and go to our room again, she come back with a leather sack.
'Mom':"Here's the money, bring some bread and some ham, and bring meat for the launch and dinner.".
Tay:"Okay mother." He opened the door ready to leave.
I look at him and think of something.
"Tay!" I yell.
He look back at me, my eyes shining with enthusiasm as I jumped up and down.
Tay:"Oh, you wanna go? Fine by me but..." He look at mom.
'Mom':"Sure why not, just take care of him.".
Tay:"I will, lets go.".
He pick me up and put me on his head between his horns, we walk away out of our house, with the sun light everything was far more visible, our house was made entirely of stone and was slightly larger than the others, the stones were misaligned making the house look rustic, but the wall inside the house was straight without even a ripple, the road was wide, so wide that it could fit almost a dozen 8 meters dragons standing side by side, while last night there were a few dozen walking on the street now by day there were hundreds of dragons of all sizes going from 1 to 8 meters, we walked towards the main street and today was no different from yesterday, in fact it was even worse, everybody would stop for us to talk, most of them being females, they would ask how Tay was going before they noticed me and changed the subject.
Tay:"This won't do." He said annoyed.
Tay:"Hey hold this for me." He handed me the money sack, it was almost twice as my size but i somehow managed to hold it tightly.
He then stood up and tensed his legs, soon he shots towards the sky and began to flying, I look down and see countless dragons walking on the street, after a few minutes he starts to go down on a store at the end of the street, it was open at the front with a glass shelf at the entrance leaving a little space to pass, Tay landed and stood in front of the shelf waiting, soon a dragon came out of a back door and made his way to us, it was a 8 meters blue dragon.
Salesman:"Ahh, little Tay! What a pleasure to have you here! Do you need something?".
Tay:"The pleasure is mine Fae, i came here to buy some food, i need 10 pieces of giant bison meat, 10 breads...". Fae finally notice me
Tay:"And that's all.".
Fae:"Ah, sure!" He went to the back of the store and brought everything Tay had asked for.
Fae:"If you don't mind me asking, who's that little guy?" He pointed at me.
Tay:"Oh, that is my new little brother, he was born yesterday.".
Fae:"Ohhhh a white dragon hatchling?".
Tay:"Yep, here look.".
He poked my head turning my attention to him, the he pointed at the salesman.
Tay:"Fae." He slowly said.
"Fae?" I said in a wondering tone
Fae looked stunned by my answer, I tilt my head in confusion, Tay look satisfied by his reaction.
Fae:"Did it spoke?".
Tay:"Yep.".
Fae:"Are you sure it was born yesterday?".
Tay:"Yep.".
Fae:"And it already know how to speak?!".
Tay:"Yep, well not much, he just repeat what we say to him.".
Fae:"Wow he's a really smart one, here i got something for you little boy.".
he bends down and grabs something at the bottom of the shelf.
Fae:"Here, A little candy for you, despite being your size.". He laughs
"Food?" I ask strugling to hold the candy and the money sack.
Tay:"yes it is food, ah i forgot, let me take this, thank you Fae how much for all of this?" He took the money sack.
Fae:"Don't need to pay, consider this as a gift for the newborn.".
Tay:"Are you sure?" He looked stunned.
Fae:"Yeah, take my congratulations for the newborn to Bren and Sena.".
Tay:"I will, thank you again Fae.".
Fae:"You're welcome!" He smiled.
Tay took off the food, which was on a kind of paper bag, and launched to the sky and fly to our home, i look at the candy, it was a bar of my size and had a pink colour, I took of a bite, its flavor was the same as a apple but a bit more sour, i liked it, i took out another bite and click my tongue in satisfaction, the Tay heard it he made a ball of magic around the candy and took the it from me, I didn't notice as i had my eyes closed savoring the candy, somehow.
"Food?" I look around not seeing the candy bar.
Tay:"sorry but candy is after breakfast.".
Soon i forgot about the candy, we arrive at home, Tay walking on two legs as the others he use to hold the food he just brought.
Tay:"Somebody help me already!" He shouted.
Lyra came and took the meat and placed in one of the gabinets, Tay placed the bread and the ham on top of the dining table as well as me.
Tay:"Breakfast is ready!".
Everyone sat around the dining table and began to eat, my mother giving bits of bread and ham to me.
'Mom':"So, how much did it cost?".
Tay:"Nothing, Fae gived as a gift for the newborn, he also said his congrats.".
'Mom':"Really? Oh how sweet of him.".
'Mom':"Maybe i should take you to other places as well." She whispered while looking at me.
Everyone finished their breakfast, after some time i finish mine as well.
Tay:"Here." He placed the candy in front of me.
"Food!" I said as i grab the candy and start biting it happily.
Tay:"Another gift from Fae.".
'Mom':"Looks like he likes it" She chuckled.
