"urgh...snap out of it." I said using my hands to slap my cheeks when suddenly my hands where held in mid air.
"J-Joshua?"
"Hey, you'll hurt yourself." He said as he gently touched my cheek.
"Let go!" I said as he released my hands and I stood up to straighten my clothes.
"Are you okay?"
"Uh..huh?" I stated at him confused.
"I mean...you were hitting yourself, are you okay?" He asked worried.
Worried? Is Joshua worried about me? Wow! That's a really expensive joke or is he faking it? I don't even know what to think about again because nowadays I... I've not just been myself or-
"I'm hungry." Joshua said interrupting my thoughts.
I sighed and looked up at the time.
"Well it's past two, so why not have lunch now." I shrugged as I headed for the kitchen and Joshua followed behind.
"I'll check what's in the fridge." I smiled as I made my way for the fridge and opened it and to my greatest shock there was no leftover food to be reheated just veggies and some organic food.
"Urm...it looks like we're out of food." I said, nervously holding the hand of the fridge as Joshua walked over.
"But there are some items here."
"Well...I don't know how to cook." I said, looking down at the floor. I know girls my age should at least be able to boil noodles or something but I can't even on the gas. I just microwave the food. Silly right.
"Don't worry, I'll make something out of what's left." He said as I raised up my head and looked at him shell shocked.
"You...you can cook?" I stared at him shocked as well as surprised.
"Yeah, is that a problem?" He asked tilting his head to the side.
"No, I meant... just carry on I'll be at the table." I giggled nervously and ran out of the kitchen.
About an hour later, Joshua came out of the kitchen holding a bowl in his hand and placed it on the table. My stomach couldn't help but growl at the aroma of the food.
"What did you make? It smells so nice."
"I made some chicken noodle soup and some salad."
"Really?" I asked staring at the food, my mouth watering at the sight of them.
"Dig in."
"I would even if you didn't tell me." I scoffed and sat down. Joshua also sat down as he served me a bowl. I looked at him first and when he nodded I picked up my fork and had a bite and once again I was in shock for the 4th time today. The food was so delicious. I looked up from my plate and faced Joshua and so did he.
"How is it?" He asked, smiling from ear to ear as if waiting for me to praise him but to be honest he's amazing.
"Well... it's really delicious." I smiled, giving him a thumbs up.
"Now let's eat."
