Lucifer didn't lie about the trip taking forever. It took us close to a full day of flying just to reach an entrance to hell. As we met the heat and screams, Lucifer called back to me. "Bonnie, I will be in our room. I ask for privacy for the next few hours.". I turned and looked at Mika'il questioningly. He only met my confusion and shrugged his shoulders, tucking his own wings away. As we reached the hallway, Lilith and B met us asking where we had been. Mika'il beat me to answer. "Heaven", he said calmly. Both of their eyes became huge and the never ending flood of questions assaulted me. Lucifer took off towards our bedroom and I followed until B grabbed my wrist, stopping me. "Mia," he said with a look of sadness covering him, "you should let him be by himself. You weren't here to see the damage.". I spat back angrily, "He should have thought about that before he asked me to remove his mark.". B's face contorted to concern and surprise before he let my wrist go and let a small smile peek out. "Have at him then." he said, turning and walking towards the void motioning for Mika'il and Lilith to follow him. I rolled my eyes before heading to the bedroom. Opening the door, Lucifer was sitting at his desk pouring through books. "Bonnie, I asked to be left alone." he stated quickly. When he turned to look at me, his cheeks were wet and his eyes were a dull red. "You hate your mark that much?" I asked him, sadness leaking through it. Lucifer quickly stood, his eyes igniting as he made his way over to me yelling, "You still believe this is over my mark? You are daft somedays! Say Bonnie, let me go somewhere that you can't go, where I could possibly be killed, and see what your reaction is!". He threw his hand into the wall creating a crater where it landed. As dust flew around him he whispered, "I couldn't protect you.". I walked over and put my hand on his shoulder. This was a side of him that I never could have thought existed and then it dawned on me. "I am not Eve Lucifer." He looked up at me, his eyes back to that dull red color sadness still coating his face. "I can command the angels. I can protect myself.". I turned to walk out of the room and made my way towards the door with no reply from him. "I don't have to love you Lucifer and I don't have to stay here with you. I choose to.". As I went to leave, his hand caught my waist. "Then why were you in pain?" he said as he pulled me back into the room to sit at the desk with him. "I was in pain because when you enter heaven, you have to know who's there." I replied curtly. His face became flat, "You experienced every soul since creation?" he asked. I only nodded before he continued. "That should have killed you." he said, slumping back against his seat. "Well it didn't." I said crossing my arms and leaning back against the chair across from Lucifer. I could feel the sadness in my chest coming from him and it made me angry. "Why is it that you can pit me against your demons as some weird form of being accepted but when angels do it you get mad?" I queried. He looked up at me, his eyes back to their normal color, "I can handle any demon down here Mia. That's the difference.". I rolled my eyes standing up and again making my way to the door, "I am not Eve Lucifer and I won't tolerate constantly being compared to her.". He stayed at the desk as I made my way out into the hallway where a familiar red man was making his way towards me as I was heading to the void. When we reached each other in the hallway, he stopped and awkwardly scratched the back of his head. "Um, Queen?" he asked with a confused look on his face. "Just Mia Beezlebub. What is it now?" I responded awkwardly. He let his arms fall to his sides and was a little more relaxed. "There's a visitor at the gate, saying he needs to speak with you," he said. I nodded and walked down to the void grabbing Mika'il. I didn't bring B or Lilith because whoever it was, was probably an angel who couldn't enter on their own. "Did Beezlebub say anything about how they looked?" Mika'il asked. "No, he just said there was a visitor." I called back to him over the steady beating of two pairs of wings. "I can't believe Sara stabbed you.... and you lived." he said in disbelief. I punched his shoulder and laughed saying "Guess I got a knack for it huh. Must've had a good teacher". He raised his eyebrows and nodded before a look of seriousness coated him. "I'll fly through first. That way if it's an ambush, I'll be able to tell. You should have brought Lucifer at least Mia." he flatly said. "He's in a mood Mika'il. Let him process what's going on." I responded playfully. I could feel in my chest that he was going through something. I probably scared him but he hurt me. Before I could ponder on my issues with Lucifer anymore, Mika'il was gone through the exit. I gave him a few seconds lead before I flew through as well. When I came through, I saw the stars and that sticky earth air clung to me. I needed to call my mom. She probably still thinks I'm in Europe. As I turned to make my descent, an unlikely sight was playing out down before me. Mika'il was making his way down as well, but that blunt asshole Michael was standing outside of the gate. I caught Mika'il looking back towards me and I shot him a questioning glance. He just shrugged his shoulders, continuing towards the ground. I landed with a louder than normal thump and crossed my arms, making sure to evidence with my face that I was not happy he was here. "No bag this time?" I asked sarcastically. Michael nodded while staring at the ground, his golden eyes hidden from view. I looked over at Mika'il and raised an eyebrow and motioned a shoulder towards Michael. Mika'il got the hint and straightened up making his chest look bigger. Using a deeper voice he asked, "What are you doing here Michael?". I laughed silently at Mika'il's poor attempt at intimidation. There was a long pause before Michael finally spoke. "The councils met and um…." he paused and began pacing, rubbing his hands together, "They want her and I to uhhh….." I looked at Mika'il while Michael was still stuttering through his words, "She has to take a partner from heaven so here I am." he quickly spat out, stopping his pacing and throwing his arms out to the side. "When Hell freezes over. Absolutely not." I harshly rang out putting my arm out in a stop motion. Mika'il interjected, "Mia, that's actually not a bad id.." "Lucifer will KILL him." I interjected before he had time to finish his sentence. "So that's not a no from you though?" Michael said, finally finding his voice again. I felt my eyes go wide "Are you shitting me right now?! I don't even like your name. You are bound by your council, I am not." I spat out again annoyance oozing off my voice. "I can change my name, that's easy. I should have probably done it like a Millenia ago anyways, especially after Sodom." he said casually dropping his arms to his sides. "Lucifer won't allow it.". I said curtly. "He might." Mika'il said. "Why would he ever allow it Mika'il?" I questioned not bothering to hide my annoyance. "Because Lucifer wants you protected." he threw back quickly. I threw my arm up and let my wings out. "Michael, I command you to Hell. You can ask him yourself." I said as I turned and flew up reading myself for this mess that was about to come. As we hit the heat, I could tell Michael was uncomfortable. "You're confusing your brain," I said mockingly. He looked up at me and smiled, his chocolate hair being whipped by the wind. "At least I didn't make you wear a bag. That smile will be gone soon." I said harshly and rolled my eyes. He dropped his smile and Mika'il had an outright look of worry. It was so heavy it was oozing off of him. We landed in the hallway where I took Michael to the void. As soon as we were through the door, Lilith rang out "Another one Mia?! Are you crazy? Lucifer is going to lose his mind!". I quickly responded, "I'm counting on it considering he wants to be with me too.". Lilith lost the color in her face. B walked up and started sizing Michael up as he stood there. "I called dibs dude. Sorry, but ol' Lucifer, in there, will kill you before that happens." B rang out playfully. I heard the faint clink of a chain where I stepped off to the right away from it. Michael was on the ground before the others realized what had happened. "Horde!" I called out, "Let Lucifer deal with it!". Horde stepped towards the group seemingly appearing from nowhere. He walked over to Michael still on his hands and knees before smiling and showing his rows of teeth. Michael was oddly calm. Horde huffed out, "Weak." before going and leaning against the wall of the void. "Balthazar go get Lucifer." Mika'il called out. Michael moved to sitting down on the floor. It was then I noticed that under the white robe he wore, he had on jeans. He started removing the white robe completely where a very chiseled man sat underneath. I rolled my eyes and looked towards the door knowing Lucifer would be busting through it any moment. As he came through, he immediately noticed the man on the floor. "OUT!" Lucifer boomed out anger coating him. We all moved towards the door quickly when I noticed his mark. It was becoming blended just as mine was. I stopped and went towards Lucifer touching the side of his face. "Bonnie, I need to deal with this first," he said. I brought forth my warmth on my hip and pulled my shirt up. "Your mark is hiding something. It looks like this." I said, taking my hand from his face and pointing to my hip. "You need to calm down or you'll blast both of you into the walls." I said remembering back to one of our first private encounters. Lucifer relaxed a bit, "Bonnie, I will come to you after I'm done here.". I nodded and went out the door long behind everyone else. Once the door shut, B was trying to lift the mood. "Man, our clubhouse." he said with exaggerated sadness motioning towards the door. Lilith had her head on the door trying to listen to the conversation. We heard thumps and yells for the next hour but couldn't make sense of what was what. I could feel twinges of pain in my chest every so often and that's when I knew Michael had struck Lucifer hard. "You really had to soundproof everything Lilith?" B asked. "Yes I did. Once upon a time ago, I wanted Mia's help to overthrow Lucifer or did we all forget about that?" Lilith said quickly. "Speaking of which, where is Lamia?" I asked the group. Everyone looked at each other for answers. I looked up and threw my arms back groaning, "We lost her again?". Mika'il winked at me when I looked back up and whatever Lamia was doing, she evidently wanted to be kept private. Why she'd share it with the angel and not the rest of us, was what confused me. "Oh no we should back up." Lilith said, grabbing me and B and dragging us down the hallway. Before I could even ask why, a ball of feathers and rock came crashing through the wall of the void. Dust was everywhere and when I looked up, I saw Michael had Lucifer by the neck and was squeezing. Without a second thought, my wings and marks were out. As Michael saw me heading their way, he set Lucifer down and put his hands up as if he meant no harm. His face was bleeding and bruises were already forming on him. B rang out again seriously, "Awe man, our clubhouse." putting his hand on his head and leaning against the wall. As I walked towards Lucifer, he got right up and dusted himself off. "Well that settles it then." Lucifer said, picking a rock out of his wing. "Settles what?" I asked. "Bonnie, don't hate me." Lucifer said. "What does it settle Lucifer?!" I yelled at him. "Leo here, will be your heavenly husband." he said, motioning to Michael. I heard B exclaim, "Oh nooo way." before everything went black.
