While Nemurenume, Kuro and Anastasia were arguing in their Maths class, the Chinese students were at a table of their own in the cafeteria.
"Man... The food here is so good!"
Qiang began stuffing his face. The others were simply sitting next to each other.
Qin was playing a game on his portable console. The black-haired girl was silently reading a girl, as per usual and the other two girls, Alix and Lin-Hua, were having a friendly chat.
Li-jun was giving a solace look at his nails.
"Hey,"
Qiang said, muffled, with food in his mouth. Li-jun was the first to jump.
"Don't talk with food in your mouth! It's fucking disgusting."
Disturbed himself, Qiang swallowed his food and addressed the group once more.
"I just wanted to say. They do know we can understand them, right?"
The boy was referring to the Japanese students in the cafeteria room whispering.
"Those are the Chinese students, right?"
"They look ordinary."
"That'll be an easy win for the first-years."
"Is that one wearing a choker?"
The black-haired girl jumped as she heard the word, 'choker.' She was the person wearing one.
"Don't worry, Daiyu, it's just different culture."
Lin-Hua comforted.
Panicking, the girl, Daiyu, hid behind her book and nodded.
"Wearing chokers isn't a culture in China, Lin-Hua."
Qiang stated the obvious.
The girl clenched her fist in front of him. Daiyu suddenly looked down.
He panicked.
"Oh, ah, ah, ah, it's simply fashionable! The Japanese won't get your sense of style, Daiyu!"
Suddenly, Daiyu beamed and Qiang sighed as Lin-Hua withdrew her fist.
"Items like those are against the school rules."
Alix pointed out.
"You are so right!"
Qiang shouted, laughing nervously.
"Those wearing it should be reprimanded and have their choker confiscated."
Daiyu glared at Alix as she crossed her arms.
"Alix, but don't you break the rules yourself?"
Lin-Hua asked. Alix's head darted over in the direction of Lin-Hua.
"When?!"
"Whenever you're around Qin, you decide to shorten your skirt. I thought no short skirts was a rule."
Alix's face suddenly painted itself red. Qiang spat out his water and Li-jun started to complain. Daiyu carried on reading her book.
"I-is that true?!"
Qiang shouted.
"Uh... Ermm... K-k... Kind of..."
"What do you say about this, Qin? I would like to hear your input. I think it'd be interesting."
Li-jun said.
Qin was focused on his game but still answered.
"You do what you want. There's no need to shorten your skirt, you're already pretty as is."
The black-haired boy didn't like Qin's answer and saw Alix shaking.
"Why you..."
"T-t-thank you..."
Alix muttered. Qiang stopped to look at her. Her face was bright red. At that moment, Qiang noticed who Alix loved.
Abruptly, someone bumped into Li-jun.
"Oh, sorry."
The boy said in Japanese.
Li-jun turned around to glare at the boy. The boy backed away slightly. The boy was Meguru Ame, a participant of the Japanese team.
The grey-haired boy stood up and walked toward Meguru.
"Bow down."
Li-jun ordered.
"What?"
Meguru didn't understand what he said. Meguru wasn't able to speak or understand Chinese.
The boy remembered that they were Japanese. As a means to make things easier, he pointed downwards.
Meguru looked downwards and then back at Li-jun.
"I still don't get it."
"He's telling you to bow down."
Qin explained in Japanese, still playing his game.
"Huh?!"
He moved closer to Li-jun.
"Why would I bow down to you?!"
The Chinese boy winced backwards as Meguru talked, he swatted the air continuously. He began coughing. That gesture didn't need any translation.
Li-jun staggered backwards as his collar was grabbed fiercely. Meguru pulled Li-jun toward him.
"You want to go or something?! I'll give you a good beating before the match!"
"Let go."
"I can't fucking understand you."
Suddenly, a cold aura overcame Meguru. His body couldn't manage it. He did his best to stand up straight, but he was still shaking.
"What th-"
Before he could express his shock, Li-jun grabbed his face. Mercilessly, he blew up his face. A bloodcurdling scream rushed through the air. Meguru dropped to the floor; his face was burning.
People flocked around.
Li-jun looked at the crowd and then at his shoulder. The boy padded his shoulder.
"Gah, I don't like it when people touch me."
Abruptly, a boy appeared out of the crowd.
Shoya.
--
The boy took notice of me.
"What do you want?"
He bellowed in Chinese.
"Wh-"
I was going to speak in Japanese but then I remembered that they probably don't understand it. Qin seemed to understand, but there's a chance that the rest don't.
Because of my stepmother, I know a few languages and Chinese is one of them.
I began speaking in Chinese.
"Why did you do this?"
The boy looked at me with a slit-eyed look.
"I don't like being touched and he did so. It irritated me."
"Stop fucking around!"
I shouted while pointing at Meguru Ame's body.
"You fucking burnt his face off! Someone call the nurse!"
I shouted in Japanese.
"No need! I'm already here!"
Ayaka came running through with another person. They brought a stretcher.
They quickly put Meguru Ame on the stretcher and left.
"Well, wasn't that anti-climactic?"
He turned around and walked back toward his seat. I grabbed him before he reached his seat.
"Oi. Didn't I say that I didn't like people touching me?"
He blasted me with killing intent; I overcame it easily. I tightened my grip around his shoulder.
I could hear him croak in pain.
"Hey! Let go of me!"
Surprisingly, his teammates weren't doing anything. They simply watched him suffer by my hand.
"I think you need a lesson of your own."
I whispered to him.
Raising my arm, I leaned backwards in preparation for a punch. Suddenly, a surge of anger and annoyance turned into power. It was like it was fuelling my power.
"Here I come!"
My arm fell toward him. I stopped an inch short of his face.
I was surrounded.
On all sides.
All 5 of them had me within a second's range. It'd take a second or less to attack me.
"I know he did something bad to your teammate."
The pink-haired girl said.
"But please, if you punch him..."
The black-haired boy began talking.
"He'll die."
Qin finished.
