"Welcome, those of the Chinese Branch! Welcome to my school! The Japanese Branch of Altheria!"
Weissmann greeted him in his office.
There were six people in his office, excluding himself, Faith and Ophelia.
There were, of course, the six combatants for the Chinese Branch and their supervisor. Aiguo Lee, the school's principal, also accompanied them.
Weissmann smiled at the students and teacher but ignored Aiguo's handshake. The fat man withdrew his hand in a huff.
"This place doesn't look like much."
One of the students started. He was speaking Chinese.
The principal merely tilted his head.
Faith slowly walked over to Weissmann's drawer and opened it, taking out a box. It was probably the size of a cake box.
The maid opened it, revealing lots of earbud pairs. She gifted each person a pair, including Weissmann, and they put it on.
"Now, you should be able to understand each other."
She said.
"Woah, I'm hearing you in Chinese!"
A girl bellowed.
"And I'm hearing you in Japanese. Faith, please explain what these are since I had no idea that they even existed in my drawer."
The blonde-haired maid sighed and continued to explain.
"These earbuds are adjustable to the main language of the user and is able to translate easily and flawlessly. They were provided to us by Shirogane Enterprises."
"Hysaka, huh? I'm going to need to thank her later."
"What is also important is that they do not fall out in battle either."
Ophelia interjected.
"Well, I see you're finally able to do something correctly, Weissmann."
"Spare me the small talk. I didn't ask you to come here for you, but for your students to be able to roam in Altria and the school. Though that last part may take some time."
Ophelia handed Weissmann the sheet of all of the participants. As he checked, he looked from the paper to each person, until he reached Qin.
His photo and current look were like before and after.
"Did you change up one of your fighters?"
He asked.
"Strangely enough, no, this person who you see before you is Qin Zhang. Apparently, he went into the city and got a haircut. One of your students paid for him."
The teacher said.
"Students? Who?"
Qin looked to be thinking hard.
"I believe his name was Shoya."
Suddenly, Weissmann began laughing aloud. He found it amusing that Shoya and Qin met each other.
"Your school is absolute dog shit. You know that?"
A boy complained.
His long, slick, grey hair covered one of his eyes. The boy glared at Weissmann with his hazel eyes. He wore the Chinese Altheria uniform, which the only difference from the Japanese one was the colour. The Japanese uniform is black while the Chinese one is a deep red.
Weissmann suddenly stopped laughing. He gave a stern look toward the boy.
"You..."
He whispered.
"What? I don't like being stared at."
"You wouldn't perhaps be Principal Aiguo's grandson?"
"And so what if I am?"
A smile perked up Weissmann's face as he turned his chair to face Aiguo.
"Favourite much?"
"I can assure you that Li-jun was chosen for his ability. Not connections to his grandfather."
A girl spoke.
She stood tall with her arms behind her back. Her hair was short and brown, while her eyes were a grassy green.
"We have a goody-goody two-shoes here, don't we?"
Aiguo rolled his eyes as if saying, "Tell me about it."
The other boy slammed the table as hard as he could. He glared right into Weissmann's eyes.
The man didn't falter.
"Don't talk to Alix like that!"
This boy was a rather simple one.
He was like those typical naive characters in anime. In fact, he was a textbook definition of it.
His hair was also short but black. His flaring orange eyes gave him an impression.
"If you slander her once more, I'll kill you!"
Weissmann simply smiled.
"Step away from the principal. You are being rude."
Faith said, holding herself back. Ophelia was doing the same but rather subtly.
The boy turned to face Faith.
"Huh? What can a woman do to-"
Before the boy could finish his sentence, the boy,
Qiang, was already kissing the floor.
"What were you going to say about women?"
One of his own floored him and kept him in a submissive hold.
This girl's hair was long and well-kept. The pink colour illuminated her sapphire eyes. For a girl, she seemed rather well-built and her body was toned.
Anyone could tell from just looking at her.
"Ow, ow, ow, ow! I'm sorry, Lin-Hua! Just, please, let me go!"
"Please, everyone, line up!"
The teacher yelled.
Her name was Ms Ren. She looked like a plain teacher but was surprisingly rough around the edges.
Everyone obediently followed her instructions.
Weissmann looked at the one remaining girl who hadn't said a single thing.
She had jet-black hair and feline-like yellow eyes. Her whole face was immersed in a book. He wanted to say something to her but wasn't sure whether he would reach her or not.
"Sorry, you had to see that, Principal Weissmann."
"Well, I'm not."
Li-jun said, still acting distant and mighty.
"Anyway, what about your side? Will you show us who is fighting who?"
Weissmann sighed as Aiguo asked a question.
"Well, we don't have participants yet. You'll have to wait until next week to find out."
Surprisingly, no one called out, not even the hot-headed Qiang.
"We are currently doing examinations for each class in the Streia Course. Oh, and, don't worry... Only the six strongest will participate."
Lin-Hua gave a distinct grin as Weissmann finished his line.
"Well, for now, you all will stay in the dorms. Oh, ah, it'll have to be the hotel you're at. If you want, I'll pay the expenses."
"No, it's fine. I'd rather die than lose to you."
Aiguo said, turning around.
The students followed him as they slowly made their way outside Weissmann's office.
"Hope you have a good stay..."
He said as Alix slammed the door. Even she screamed at her actions.
