As he drives me home, I can't help but feel him glancing at me every now and then. This time, the silence isn't comfortable. It's anything but comfortable. It's like he wants to say something, but he doesn't say anything. Finally he pulls up to my house. He parks next to the curb and turns off the engine. Slowly I unbuckle my seat belt.
"Thanks for driving me, and for the ice cream" I mumble glancing at him, he's already staring at me.
"Yeah of course, let's get you inside" He mumbles getting out, slowly I get out too. As we walk to the door of my aren't parents home; I could feel his eyes on me.
"Well, see you around" I mumble as I fumble to unlock the door.
"Carlotta?" Vincent asks, grabbing my hand after I finally got the door unlocked and opened. I can feel sparks shooting through me.
"Yeah?" I ask, trying to keep my cool.
"I'm sorry, for everything I did in the past" He whispers as I look up at him.
"We were kids, it probably wouldn't have worked even if you didn't cheat" I admit, though, I feel sad saying it.
"But we would have" he says pulling me a little closer to him, "We would have"
"Vincent" I start, but I let out a sigh instead of finishing my sentence.
"Carlotta, just give me another chance" he whispers staring into my eyes.
"I, I want to, but I can't" I whisper staring into his eyes, I swear his eyes flashed yellow.
"Just let me take you on a date" he whispers his arms going around my waist, pulling me as close as I can get.
"Maybe I'll let you" I whisper "if, and only if, you don't expect too much from it"
"I won't" he whispers leaning down a little.
"Good" I whisper back, I couldn't help it, I wanted to kiss him. However, right before our lips met Tiffany starts to call.
"I got to take this" I mutter, clearing my throat a little. "Thank you again" I smile, heading inside and quickly answering the phone.
"Hey Tiff" I mumble into the phone as I lock the door.
"Hey! How are you feeling?" She asks.
"I'm feeling better, thank you, how was the end of practice?" I ask her, I can still feel the tingling sensation on my skin where he grabbed me.
"It was good" she mumbles "Though, I heard something interesting as I was walking to my car"
"Yeah?" I ask sitting on the couch "What was that?"
"That Vincent drove you home" she spoke, sounding a little upset.
"He just didn't want me to crash, that's all. I was in rough shape. Though, I am feeling better" I assure.
"I bet you are" she laughs small.
"What? What's that suppose to mean?" I asks, awkwardly laughing.
"As I drove past your house to get to mine, guess who I saw standing outside, in his arms?" She asks sweetly, though, I know she's being sarcastic.
"Is that why you called?" I ask laughing.
"Yes! Carlotta, you guys were about to kiss! Do you not remember what happened? What broke you two?" She asks.
"I know, I know" I mumble sighing into the phone.
"Thats it, I didn't think I needed to do this but apparently I do, I'll be there in a few" and with that Tiffany hung up the phone. Why is she coming here? Didn't need to do what? What the actual heck!
Sighing small I head upstairs to my room. I take a quick shower before changing into comfy clothes. I head downstairs and as I take the last step down the doorbell rings. I open the door and smile at Tiffany.
"Hey girl" I smile.
"Don't hey girl me" she huffs walking inside carrying her makeup bags. Yes. Plural, several bags of makeup.
"Whatcha doin?" I ask shutting the door.
"We are going to a party tonight to get your happy ass laid" she chirps setting her bags down.
"No. No no no. No!" I hiss.
"And why not?" She asks looking at me with suspicion in her eyes.
"Because I don't need to get laid" I mutter crossing my arms over my chest.
"Then let's find you a hot guy to help you forget Vincent. There are plenty of hot guys at school" she says walking up to me and hugging me small.
"I just think you need to stop thinking about him and the past and start thinking about other guys and now" she say smile.
"Fine, you're right, it's Friday anyways, let's have some fun" I sigh hugging her back.
"Awesome! Let's find you something hot to wear!" She chirps grabbing my hand and leading me upstairs.
"Okay" I laugh following her upstairs. Once up there she starts to go through my clothes. Finally she pulls out high waisted jean shorts and a black bralette and an oversized plaid shirt.
"You're going to look great!" Tiffany chirps, "Change and meet me downstairs" and with that she's gone from my room.
Slowly I stare into my full length mirror, staring at myself. Am I really about to do this? Yes, yes I am. Slowly I change into the outfit. I feel a little insecure, I never wear anything so showy. Slowly I slip on my black high top converses. Then I head downstairs, seeing Tiffany's face light up.
"You look amazing!" She chirps as she grabs my hand leading me towards the kitchen table where she set up her makeup. She sits me on the chair and works her magic. About thirty minutes later she is done and hands me a mirror to look at myself.
"Shit, Tiffany you're so good at this" I laugh making her laugh.
'Thank you!" She giggles, "Now let's go find you a new boy" she cheers. Nodding I stand up and we head to her car.
"Who's house are we going to anyways?" I ask Tiff.
"Mason K's." she replies pulling out of the drive way.
"Mason's? You mean Vincent's cousin?" I ask with a frown.
"Really?" She asks, looking over at me.
"Yeah" I reply with a laugh. "This should be interesting"
