Chapter 4 - Chapter Four – Party Part Two

As Tiffany drives, we jam out to our favorite music. Mostly alternative indie type stuff. Soon she stops about two streets down from Mason's place. We get out and start to walk towards his place. He lives in the nicer part of town. I'm surprised he can even throw a party, with all the old rich people who live in this neighborhood.

"This is going to be so exciting" Tiff giggles out as we walk.

"Yeah?" I ask glancing over at my best friend.

"Because we know who's definitely going to be there" she says wiggling her eye brow trying to be seductive which just makes me laugh.

"Yeah yeah, and I'll avoid him. Well, at least I'll try" I mumble as we walk.

"No, we are going to make him jealous. Make him realize everything he's lost" she says grabbing me hand and then running towards the house. Laughing I run with her. Maybe Tiffany is right, maybe I should just forget him. I mean, I already have. I just– yeah.

"Come on come on!" She cheers as we walk inside. We can hear the music blasting from outside. There were a few people outside talking and goofing off, even some people making out. Once inside Tiffany drags me through the crowd of people towards the kitchen where all the booze are.

"This is going to be great" I grin grabbing a water from the cooler, Tiff decided on something stronger.

"Take a shot with me" she says with a grin on her face.

"Oh God no" I laugh "You know I don't drink, we are under age anyways"

"Don't be like that" I hear Mason say from behind me, making Tiff giggle.

"She's always like this" she teases.

"Fine fine" I huff. Tiff hands me the shot.

"On three" she mumbles staring at me.

"One...Two...Three" We chant together before taking the shots together.

"Ew!" I hiss after I swallow the shot. The burning sensation traveling down my throat into my stomach "What was that?"

"I don't even know" she says making a disgusted face which makes Mason laugh.

"Enjoy the party, girls" he says chuckling small and walking away, however, he stops walking with his back turned to us.

"Oh and Carlotta, Vincent is looking for you" and with that he was gone.

"Don't even think about girl" Tiff giggles out.

"I wasn't" I mumble shrugging small.

"You weren't thinking about going to find him?" She asks, "Because that facial expression says otherwise"

"What?" I ask pouting small "I wasn't thinking about it!" I laugh.

"Oh you weren't?" I hear Vincent speak from behind me.

"Nope" I reply turning to look at him with a bored facial expression.

"Ouch" he laughs "What happened to my second chance?"

"Second chance?" Tiff asks obviously annoyed.

"I never said I'd give you a second chance" I counter.

"But, you did said you'd let me take you on a date, if and only if I don't expect to much from it" He says taking a step closer to me.

"Come on girl" Tiff says grabbing my wrist and trying to drag me off.

"Don't" Vincent mumbles, I swear his eyes keep flashing yellow like earlier. Maybe it was that alcohol?

"I'm sorry" I whisper staring at him for a second before rushing off with Tiffany. Once we are in the backyard where it was a little quieter and a lot less people I let out a sigh.

"Wow, he's really trying" Tiff says staring at me "Are you okay?" She asks "We can go home"

"I'm good" I nod "I just, his eyes, they kept flashing yellow?" I ask.

"Yellow?" She asks.

"Yes, yellow" I mumble looking at her.

''Are you feeling okay?" She asks placing her hand on my forehead

"Forget it, maybe I'm just going crazy" I mutter "Let's just go have some fun"

"Now that's what I'm talking about! Lets go have some fun" She cheers as we head back inside.

As we head inside I start to feel anxious. However, a few more shots of that nasty alcohol Tiff gave me earlier and I'm feeling much better. Soon we are in the living room, where most people are dancing and just having a good time. Tiff and I dance together before she ends up dancing with some random dude.

Huffing I turn to leave the living room, however, I feel someone grab my waist and turn me to face them, glancing up I see Vincent's face. He starts to dance with me making me smile small. We start to dance, mainly just grinding on each other holding each other close.

I don't know why I want this so bad. The urge to be with him, it's almost like I have no control of it. I'm just pulled towards him. At this point, I have no idea where Tiff went. My eyes are on Vincent, his eyes on me. It's dark in here, but his eyes are piercing down at me.

"Carlotta" he breaths out into my ear, his warm breath making me shudder.

"Vincent" I reply back breathlessly as we dance together, our body fit perfectly together.

"There's something I need to tell you" he whispers into my ear ultimately making me shudder again.

"What is it?" I ask him as our bodies move together.

"Not here" he whispers staring at me, "Come on" he mumbles grabbing my hand and pulling me off towards upstairs.

"Where are we going?" I ask following Vincent

"You'll see" he chuckles leading me towards a room, once I'm inside the bedroom Vincent shuts the door.

"Whats going on?" I ask frowning small at him.

"I thought we could talk privately" he spoke confidently.

"About what?" I counter, not as confident as him.

"Us" he shrugs walking towards me.

"Us?" I question talking a step back, "There is no us"

"Carlotta, just hear me out" he says grabbing my hand and pulling my closer to him, sparks shooting through my skin, butterflies erupting in my stomach.

"Why should I?" I ask frowning as he pulls me close. I place my right hand on his chest so there is at least something between us.

"Because you're my mate"
