If I had known the taxi to club Q charges twenty dollars, I'd have stayed home. I care about my money, okay?
So when the cab driver asks for twenty bucks, I almost, like almost snap at him.
We don't want causing scenes now, do we?
I don't complain and hand him the cash and wait for him to drive away. When he leaves, I open my bag and remove my black tinted glasses as the disguise I brought, I put them on and check myself again to see if I'm recognizable.
When I'm sure I am not, I head to the club door and boy, this place reeks of alcohol even from the outside.
There are alot of cars parked already, some of which I can recognize, there's a pool and then the noise, God knows how neighbors of this club manage.
I don't have trouble getting into the club, afterall all I need is a school ID. The bouncer lets me in and I enter, ofcourse for my very first time in a party since forever, I know nothing to do.
The other books I read usually say you get bombarded with boys wanting to dance with you, or some offering you drugged drinks and cookies, or you head to the kitchen or the counter.
However this is a club, there's no kitchen to go to. There's no boys bombarding me because I'm not the prettiest here, and the same applies to the ones offering drugged drinks, I don't look like a drinker.
Still looking for where to go, my eyes land on a familiar redhead, Tamika. She is seated alone on a couch scrolling through her phone which is totally harmless.
However, before I can blink, a blonde boy is seated next to her and she's giggling like crazy.
Tamika giggling because of a boy? That's new.
I start looking for good angles I can face to look at the blonde guy's face but some people start dancing and distract me. But the time I get to what I thought is the good angle, Tamika and the blonde are nowhere to be found.
Weird, right?
Kai and Maya aren't here yet or I haven't seen them, so I run out of things to do. I contemplate on whether to go to the bar and order a sprite or something, but I remember I may not have enough money for transport fare going back home.
Bummer!
I turn to go outside but the odds aren't in my favour because I walk straight into someone.
I would have said a pole because the thing is this person is so rigid, but when I feel his chest go in and out I conclude it's a person.
"Ms Clumsy! I've been looking everywhere for you!" The person says and it clicks.
Only one person has ever called me Ms Clumsy, that person being Decker Swift.
Haha, here goes my chances to of being unrecognizable.
"What do you want?" I ask as if I'm being irritated of which I'm not.
How can one be irritated by a hot boy? I just don't want to be known, okay?
"Nothing" he says nonchalantly.
"Are you kidding me? You just said you were looking everywhere for me! And how did you recognize me?"
"You're the only clumsy person I know of honestly. It can't be that hard to predict you're the one!"
"Whatever, can I go now?" I try to remove my hand from his hold.
He's burning me, I think this boy has super powers. How can anyone burn me with just their hand?
"Not so fast, have you seen Camila Reyes anywhere?" He asks.
Uhhhh I was looking for her too!
"Why? Did you plan on hooking up with her tonight?" I ask smirking.
"Well yes, I don't mind getting a huge amount of STDs you know!" He says with dripping sarcasm.
It's clear the Offlimits boys don't date, hook-up or befriend girls. Why is he talking to me?
"I haven't seen Camila if that's what you're asking. Can I go now?" I try again to leave.
"Why are you running away? Are you ashamed of being seen around me?"
Are you kidding me? Why would I be in the same place as the leader of Offlimits boys and I don't mind?
"I'll take your silence as a yes. But Ms Clumsy I'm not that bad. I can be a good company!"
"I don't need your company!"
He smirks, oh that means nothing good.
"Didn't your bullies attend the party? You'll be in hot soup if they get you alone!"
Now I regret lying! He's using my own lies against me.
"Unless, you are lying Ms Clumsy. Were you stalking us or you're being bullied?" He adds.
If I admit truthfully what I was doing in the music room, the results can't be good.
If I continue lying, I'll have to stick to his hip the entire night.
As much as the second option seems bad, I can't let him know I have been stalking them.
"They are probably drunk by now, they won't recognize me. I'm putting on tinted glasses afterall!" I try to get out of his evil plan.
I don't know what he's planning but I clearly have no interest in staying here with him.
"Ms Clumsy, don't fight it. It's just you accompanying me and vice versa for the night and I won't bother you again."
Why is he so persistent on letting me stay with him?
"Why? Why are you keeping me here?" I ask him.
He probably has more things to do with his crew, he has greater stuff and people to enjoy, why is he sticking here?
"Because I know you know something about Camila. You know what she's planning."
This time, color fades from my face and I look at him with wide eyes.
"I don't know what you're talking about" I say quickly.
"And I know you knew the girls were going to propose to Cole yesterday too." He smirks and adds, "tell me what you know and you'll be free."
Pretty boy reads minds?
