Chapter 12 - The Chase: Part 1

Vlades drove his car wildly through the street, dodging the few cars that drove on the road until he was finally the only driver on the apparent field.

He was so terrified as he recalled what had led him running in the first place; they knew he was the one, somehow they knew his location.

'But how?' He kept asking himself, as he kept his hands on the wheel.

He quickly stopped the car to check his black coat, removing it completely from his body. He scanned it for some time until he stumbled on a small tiny blinking object, he pulled it out in haste.

"No no no." He muttered, before flinging it out of his window. Except it was a little bit too late for that.

A zooming sound echoed from behind his car as he brought his head upwards towards the rear view mirror, only to see the same black Lamborghini he had passed earlier.

He had actually seen it lurking behind him all the way from his rented apartment, but he was too busy being scared to even notice it.

Now he could really see it was trailing him, and he knew exactly how to escape its trail.

Immediately, he ignited the car and drove off while the Lamborghini followed in suit.

Scott kept his eyes peeled as he followed the poor fellow, he kept on his accelerator as he did so.

The Audi turned left into a narrow alley in a fruitless attempt to keep him away.

Scott rolled the steering wheel speedily, following him in the narrow path, as local passerby fled out of the way seeing two expensive cars hoarding for them.

Finally free from the thin alley, Vlades swerved the steering wheel to the other side, heading for the incoming cars on the upper road. He drove through them as they kept horning at him, he looked back from his window to see the Lamborghini already behind him.

"Guess it have to be like this." Vlades sighed, before switching the gear to an emergency brake, causing the numerous cars in front of him to pause on the spot.

He kept his hands on the accelerator at the same time on the clutch, the car roaring in expectation.

Scott drove the car towards him, and stepped on the brake, facing the driver that stopped driving and was blocking the other cars.

He tried to think of variation of ways in which this dunce could flee from him, he came up with none.

None violated the crazy ways that could be done to escape. And not just any other day kind of crazy.

He moved the gear and drove towards him, screams and offensive insults filling the air.

Vlades smiled as he saw him coming for him, he pushed the gear to reverse, speeding backwards from the stopped cars on the road.

After he was atleast 12 feet from the cars, all clustered together. He again shifted the gear, this time to forward drive.

He kept his legs on the accelerator as he sped for the cars, the speedometer increasing as the seconds doubled; almost close to the cars, he drove in a way that the car's license plate was facing the sky.

Scott's eyes widened when his mind had calculated the motive of this guy. He watched the car try to climb on top of one of the car, through the bonnet while at the same time damaging the other car's bonnet.

In no time, the car had somehow managed to climb on top of the cars that clustered together on the road, crushing the surface and the fender on the process.

"Shit!" Scott cursed under his breath as he moved the shift, and drove towards the cars, lifting the two front tires upwards and climbing on another car.

He smiled when he had easily amount the cars, but somehow, Vlades wasn't counting on it.

He muttered in fear as he started driving and galloping on top of all this cars.

Destroying windshields, roofs and wings of numerous cars.

Scott rolled his head, before tapping a button beside his seat's arm, and then the tires of the car rolled into the comfort of the car, a smooth and straight metallic material, similar to that of ammo tanks, now standing in for it.

Scott drove as the smooth tire moved on top of the cars, not in any way suffering from mild gallops, apart from the screams of fear from the cars passengers.

Grey plugged in the chip into the phone, as it surprisingly fitted. Scrambling graphics started displaying on the screen, like it was reading binaric codes over and over again.

The scramble was gone and a countdown had begun from 1%.

She smiled and rested on the chair, placing her hand on the comm, "I'm in."

The two mad cars kept grinding on the roofs of other cars, as live helicopters had begun hovering overhead them, reporting every single move of the subjects to listeners and watchers.

Police sirens had began to wail the atmosphere, signalling their approach.

The man, Vlades kept galloping on the cars, trying to quickly get down from the held up cars into the free road and hopefully lose the car.

But unfortunately, up ahead, he could already see several police coasters waiting for him.

'Pull over now!' Yelled a police over a large microphone.

His eyes widened in fear, he looked back to see the pursuer still on his tail. He was now blocked.

If he drove ahead, he could manage to dribble three to two cops, but eventually he'd be nabbed.

If he drove back, he couldn't escape the spy, for he was undoubtedly good as him, maybe even better.

'Get down from your cars, and your hands in the air.'

Scott watched the car stop again, he knew another plan was up his sleeve; and he had to act fast. He quickly drove towards him.

Vlades looked down to see another road beneath where several vehicles drove past. He looked to the other side of the road below to see a tractor-trailor coming slowly from the other side.

He closed his eyes and sighed, before wheeling the car sideways towards the rail that barricaded the two sides of this road.

'Don't do it!'

Scott drove in haste as he followed it before the deed was gone, but Vlades had already mind calculated the trailer that was coming, and then he broke through the rail and down he went in slow motion.

The car landed on top of the trailer in an accurate precision, Vlades gasped happily as he faced the windshield. He brought his hand to the window and raised his longest finger to the eyes of the police and the pursuer.

As that would turn out to be stupid for the fact that Scott had already drove through the shattered rail and was already heading for the trailer too.

"F..." He quickly shifted to reverse and retarded down the lorry, before moving to drive and speeding off around it.

Scott also landed on the trailer and did the same, following him on the plain road that was filled with gasp of expectation and awe.

'Shit! We will need the other group. Dispatch to left roadside and follow those damned sons of a bitch.' The police general yelled into the walkie-talkie.

Scott followed the latter through the road, not missing a single second as he did.

His attention was stolen by the sight of some police cars coming out from a street

and already following them.

He tapped the accelerator and increased his speed.
