Chapter 10 - CHAPTER 10: Missing Agent

The Unheard Famous Trio were well known amongst hunters for their undeniable looks and works. They are famous for being close friends before Hans was adopted by the Harlow's family. However, none of the hunters knew Hans except Head Benjamin and the Harlow family back then.

Their so-called name was created when Jasper accidentally announced their friendship during the trio's mission. And few hunters started to spread this very news before the feud of Head Benjamin and Hans began. Many were curious but never actually saw how close they were and nobody knew what caused the fight of the two, leaving Jasper in between. Henceforth, all they could assume and held onto is the name that was bestowed on the three by Dir. Melvis.

The trio walked within the corridors in silence, not long after minutes had passed Jasper began to give a smug and suspicious look.

"Hmm…Did we do something wrong?" he asked.

Hans replied to him, "I did nothing, as far as I can remember."

Jasper stared at Head Benjamin who just shook his head in reply. Head Benjamin focused his gaze on the corridor, then slightly glanced at Jasper.

"But did you, Young Master?" he asked.

Hans and Head Benjamin couldn't help but face him, knowing that there might be something that he has done to his father.

"I intentionally stole his whiskey last night. But I think he's not aware of it yet…I hope so…" Jasper replied as he shivered at the thought of his father trying to kill him.

They gave him an 'I-knew-it' and disappointing expression which Jasper immediately defended.

"W-what? We don't know anything yet, for sure. And to be fair, he stole my favorite pudding."

Hans sighed while Head Benjamin looked away and didn't bother to say anything. When they reached the director's office, they went inside when Dir. Melvis permitted them. He was busy sorting his paper works but then decided to stop when he noticed that it was Hans and his company. He set the papers aside and intersected his fingers as he rested his elbows on top of the table.

Dir. Melvis smiled at them and said, "It's good to see you early, my Unheard Famous Trio."

The moment he shifted his gaze to Jasper, his smile disappeared. He slowly stood up and added, "And also…" the trio waited for him to finish his words.

Out of nowhere, a small dagger was thrown toward Jasper's direction. Luckily, he managed to dodge the weapon before it hit his face. He stumbled on the ground as he paled and trembled from the incident. He pointed to the Director and looked to his subordinates then back to his father.

"D-d-d-did you see that?! He tried to kill me!" he yelled in horror and disbelief.

However, Hans and Head Benjamin stared at him and thought.

'You brought this upon yourself.'

They didn't do anything to help him since there's nothing they can do to save him. Knowing that he stole his father's whiskey means death awaits.

Dir. Melvis accused his son angrily, "Who told you to steal my whiskey?!"

Jasper took the opportunity to accuse him back, "And how dare you eat my pudding?!"

Afterwards, they started bickering at each other for a minute or two. Hans was disappointed at the sight of the two Harlow's and the same goes to Head Benjamin as well. When the bickering and fighting ended, Jasper was already tied up on the chair with a rope and a cloth covering his mouth, as always.

Dir. Melvis brushed his palms together as he closed his eyes in satisfaction.

He said, "That should do it."

And again, Hans and Head Benjamin gave Dir. Melvis some bewildered thoughts.

"Now that the pest is taken care of, let's continue."

The Director added while Jasper struggled to escape as Dir. Melvis was about to approach his table.

He looked back then glared at his son, "Ah! By the way… we're not done yet."

Finally, Dir. Melvis forged towards his chair and took a seat. As for Jasper, he continued to struggle while glaring at his father. He tried to muster some words but no one understood him due to the cloth that was covering his mouth. More like, no one tried to since it's a waste of time to try and help him.

Dir. Melvis' brows wrinkled when he started the meeting, "A female agent went missing the day after the meeting with the vampires was held."

Head Benjamin's eyes widened as his jaw gaped open, "W-what do you mean, Director?"

"Four days ago, Hans was the last person she was with. She was one of the agents who was with Hans during the time we interacted with the vampires. After that, she's gone."

Dir. Melvis explained. Hans knew who the Director was referring to, and he already guessed where she was.

"What was she thinking?! You knew about this?!" Head Benjamin accusingly questioned Hans.

Dir. Melvis immediately defended him, "Now, now, during her disappearance Hans was with me so he obviously knew nothing about it. She reasoned out that she was sick so Hans let her rest, however, we were able to confirm her disappearance when someone went inside to her room and found out that her closet was empty."

"But she's a Female Blood! Who knows what will happen to her," Head Benjamin reasoned out.

"Since when did you care about us Female bloods?" They all looked back and found Head Audeth standing at the doorway.

At the back of her was Head Kelly saying as she lifted her shoulders. "Uhhh…Ever since he found his pair?" Beside her was Sheryl who was silently following them.

"So? Where are the others?" Head Audeth asked as they went inside.

Dir. Melvis explained, "Head Akito and Head Asher started patrolling the area to see if the agent was still within the boundary. As for Head Melissa, she went to gather some intel."

"Uhhh…What happened to the Young Master?" Sheryl whispered to Hans when she noticed Jasper being tied up.

Hans responded to her, "Father and son dispute."

And Sheryl replied to him, "Ahh…Now I get it."

"What do you want us to do then, Director?" Head Kelly said as she rested her hand on her hips.

Dir. Melvis smiled and gave his order, "Find the Female Blood."

Everyone heeded to his command. Jasper took the opportunity to desperately struggle and called out for their attention but Dir. Melvis commanded as he waved and smiled at them.

"Don't mind him. We still have a lot to talk about as father and son."

Sheryl gave him an apologetic look, since she didn't want to end up in the same state as him. As for the rest, they ignored him and went out of the room. Jasper, being left out, felt fear and despair riling up upon seeing his father getting closer to him. After they all went out of Dir. In Melvis's office, Hans took a separate way.

"Where do you think you're going?" Sheryl asked.

Hans didn't look back as he replied, "I forgot something."

The look in his eyes became stormy as he left without waiting for them to say anything.

~A week later after the vampires visited the hunter's territory, it was already late in the afternoon when the emperor and his brother reached their estate. They stopped at the gate of the villa then Emperor Charles went out of the limousine followed by Grand Duke Arthur along with their secretaries and bodyguards.

"Why did you choose to walk from here to the villa? Why bother walking like humans do?" Grand Duke Arthur asked as he glanced at his brother.

The emperor simply replied to him, "It's been a while and I wanted to relax somehow. So, let's take our time, okay?"

However, before they could even step foot in the villa, an arrow was struck behind the emperor. They turned their heads and found an unknown man on top of a building. He was wearing a black cloak while his face was covered by a fox mask.

Emperor Charles was lucky enough that it didn't hit him completely. He noticed that there was a small cut on his face, he then wiped the blood off that came from the small wound and he realized that the person wasn't even trying to kill him, yet. An evil grin appeared in his face from the guts of this unidentified man to look for a fight.

"Capture him!"

The general of the royal family ordered the troops as he ran towards the two royals along with a few royal guards. The man in the cloak ran to escape while being chased by the vampires. The emperor didn't show any distress and waited for his royal guards to capture him.

Grand Duke Arthur noticed that a piece of paper was attached to the arrow. He crunched down to grab and open the paper.

"You will pay." He read the content.

The Grand Duke snickered as he passed the piece of paper to the emperor.

"What do you think, brother?" Grand Duke Arthur asked.

"Interesting." Emperor Charles commented.

After he read the message as his wounds started to heal, he shoved the paper inside his pocket. The troops came back, unable to capture the man in cloak. One of the royal guards reported to the general and when the general heard the royal guard's report, he immediately kneeled to the emperor.

"Your Highnesses, forgive us for failing to capture this unidentified man. He was fast enough to reach the main street. We cannot recklessly seize him with so many humans around." The general explained.

"Fear not. He will eventually come back and will keep things interesting for us." Emperor Charles snickered as he stared at his brother and the Grand Duke did the same.

"Let us proceed to the villa," Grand Duke Arthur commanded.

And so, they all went inside the villa with excitement plastered on the two royal's faces. When they arrived inside, the entrance door opened wide. Butlers and maids were lined up at the side of the door.

Emperor Charles marched forward with Grand Duke Arthur and their secretaries, while the guards stayed behind. And there he smiled at the sight of the elegant and beautiful woman, standing at the center aisle of the entrance as she was covered with an overwhelming power.

Whereas, the kingdom's people find her majestic filled with her dominating aura. She could make anyone forcibly kneel and bow down to kiss the ground just by her presence.

The woman stared at him happily and said, "Welcome, My Emperor."

He forged his way and hugged her which made his stress and problems fade away.

"I'm back, My Empress."
