Asta continued, her eyes widening as she spoke, almost urgently.
"Do you ever wonder how anyone else manages to make it without this connection? And you feel weak and silly, sometimes, having this crutch, but you also think that if anything were to happen to him, your own heart would literally be ripped out of your chest and you'd welcome death?"
"That's a bit dramatic," Prim mumbled, deflecting.
"But it's NOT dramatic, it's codependent except, it's not, because you work so well together, and you both feel the same way, and you know that the world around you is better off that the two of you found each other - that the Idols did this on purpose, for the greater good -"
"Don't speak to me of Idols," Prim suddenly scented of anger, growling.
"I - I didn't mean to offend you, I thought everyone agreed on the Idols... It's the only thing that was the same in my herd..."
