The pair had moved over to the sofa, watching the flames in the fireplace dance and crackle. Molaki was staring straight ahead in silence, the long roll of parchment he had just read resting on his knees, digesting what he had just read.
Historical texts weren't allowed to be taken home from the library, but one was allowed to copy the text to take back. Asta had scribbled down everything she felt was relevant to their relationship that was in the book, which was admittedly, not all that much.
So, when she had gotten home and was left alone to wait for her mate to come back from his Alpha meetings, the doe sat down, and wrote more. She wrote down everything she knew about the two of them, as well as Prim and Keshel.
"You were right," Molaki mused, almost in awe.
'Maybe you should pay more attention to your sister,' was what...she wanted to say, but Asta kept the thought to herself.
