I open my eyes again to find the sunlight was now visible and I could hear Angelica walking over to me. I stand back up and start packing everything back up before making another shadow hand for Amelia.
She hops on it and when she sits down, I toss her a storage ring with the physique pill while talking.
"That should awaken your physique, though it might hurt like hell. If you don't want it I won't force you to ta-" Before I could finish my sentence she had taken the pill and her body underwent quite the noticeable change.
Her hair changed to a platinum blond and reached to her thighs and her eyes changed to gray while the rest of her body changed to be perfectly proportional. I then star searching my memory's to find whatever could have caused this change.
I start looking through until I find one that could match the change. It was a physique that required an SSS class talent and the a multitude of other physiques.
It was called War Goddesses Body and gave a multitude of benefits that include but are not limited to potential to rival weaker gods, unparalleled geniuses in magic and cultivation, extremely beautiful and having an extremely high comprehension speed as well as extremely good memory.
Though all this was great, the physique had one massive flaw. It made the holder doubt themselves and makes them feel worthless unless someone supports them. This and the fact the physique also enhances some psychopathic traits makes them obsessives over people they care about, usually pushing them away in the end causing them to kill themselves.
Most people wouldn't trade the power for the emotional instability and needing someone as a crutch. This however wasn't really a problem for me and made getting her on my side so much easier.
It doesn't take a genius to figure out that I'm the only person who supports her, and I have no plans to manipulate her anyways. I also doubt that the obsessive tendencies are going to bother me, I've always been one who enjoys yandere anyways.
As I walk I pass my grimoire over to Angelica.
"Thanks Barry" I'm about to say no problem before I stop moving because I'm more than certain I've never told her my name. I quickly go to look at her soul.
Fortunately for us, she wasn't connected to anything, though the legacy of some demigod seemed to have been added to her soul. I look over and find that it's just adding the appraisal power to her without connecting with D-E-M.
I stop myself from sighing in relief before I start walking at full speed again while trying to make a sword of darkness for keeping the opponents attention, and in the end I had come up with a two variants.
One like an katana for shadow hands to wield and the other to shoot around the battlefield and are double bladed. Both are neon purple to the enemy while being a less glaring color to the caster or any dark magician.
While walking I hear some weird sounds and find a carriage with a dead coach driver and a good few what I'm assuming is bandits putting a good bit of the stuff in another wagon before one of them gets in the wagon before finally noticing us.
They all just look at each other before picking up some blunt weapons scattered around. I just cast a bunch of swords around me while I shoot them at some them hitting 4 out of the 17. I then start dashing around into their shadows before letting 20 more swords fly at them while using the shadow strings I had laid around to pierce their abdomen.
They all collapse to the floor dead and I just simply take all the things they were tryin to carry in my storage ring and find that it's quite a bit of flour and other foodstuff. I look back and try to calculate how long it would take me to me there and back.
After thinking for a few seconds I could probably make it here and back in two hours, though I would be severely drained of my stamina. I really should go back but I can't think of a good way.
As I'm thinking I accidently touch the corpse of the fake coachman. He turns to dust but I can feel a increase in my energy and I've found my solution. I go around taking all the energy from the corpses and realize I have just barley enough for a shadow step there and back.
"I'll be back in a second, don't move."
Angelica just nods and I teleport over to the city and empty my storage ring in the now empty plaza before teleporting back.
When I get back I land flat on my face. Angelica then rushes over.
"Are you okay?" She then makes 3 shadow hands. One for me while the others two to move around.
"I'm just exhausted, I'll be taking a nap." I then close my eyes and force body to sleep as I set it to high alert with that blindfold over my eyes.
