Every inmate would be taken by a different guard group to deliver to their new Pack. We were taken by 2 guards to the van in front of the dungeon. They pushed us to the van. When Aurora stumbled because of the chains, I rushed forward to catch her before she fell. One of the guards, however, punched me in the stomach, causing me to curl up where I was.
'Do you think it's up to you, kid, to help others? Help yourself if you can,' he said, kicking me in the stomach this time. I strained myself to keep the tears from falling from my eyes as I writhed in anguish.
He snatched my hair and forced me to raise my head to face him.
'Now stand up, get into the van and seat down, and don't move until I order you to,' he hissed. Then he turned to Aurora and pushed her towards the van by her arm.
'Get in the van and take a seat.' You won't be able to get rid of me until you both reach the Shadow Pack.'
Aurora was on the verge of crying. To keep from crying, she squeezed her lips together and got into the van. Following her, I made every effort to get off the ground; the pain was tremendous, but I made it. I didn't want to face any more punishment. But he shoved me into the van, and I collapsed at Auroa's feet. I came eye to eye with the guard just as I was going to protest.
'Don't say a word, I'll beat you to death. Talking and touching are prohibited. If you do not follow my warning, you will be punished very severely.' He said and sat in the front seat.
The other guard did not say anything but followed him. The driver started the engine, we hit on the road.
Aurora was crying silently. I tried to sit as comfortably as possible without exacerbating my pain. After a while, I wanted to console her, I leaned toward her. However, she shook her head negatively, pointing to the guards. I felt powerless since I couldn't console her.
I sat there like a useless man until I realized that the van had hit something. Suddenly the guards and the driver came out, I heard various sounds like screaming, and shouting. Since the van had no rear windows, we could not see what was happening outside. But we realized that we were attacked.
The back door unexpectedly opened. With flaming eyes, a Rogue rushed in. He licked his lips, "Look what's in here, this is going to be better prey than I thought," he exclaimed as he rushed towards us. Aurora leaped on the Rogue before I had a chance to react. Aurora's head and body were separated by Rogue in a single motion. In disbelief, I froze. It took 1 or 2 seconds for me to analyse what had just happened. When those gorgeous blue eyes turned into dead stones and plummeted to the ground with her head, my world came crashing down around me. Because of this horrible Rogue, the angel who told me that I had many reasons to be happy had left this world.
I leaped from my seat and, without thinking, like a stab with my head into Rogue's stomach. Facing this sudden movement, Rogue was thrown to the ground by the force of the collision. He hit his head on the sharp-edged protrusion inside the vehicle. The skull collapsed in with the fierceness of the collision. There was blood everywhere. He was not moving. I had killed him. I couldn't believe I'd managed to kill him. I think Aurora's agony of death had made me stronger. I noticed there was another Rogue nearby, and he was about to call his friends for help. I made a move toward him. He, on the other hand, was smarter than his dead comrade, and he tried to flee. The guard who had brought us there came to my rescue before I could make a move and ripped his head off. Then he turned to me.
'Are you okay?'. He asked.
With terror in my eyes, I shook my head and gazed at Aurora's motionless body.
'He killed her.' I was going to say one more thing when I burst into tears.
The guard who kicked me and the driver had died. Somehow the other guard was alive.
The guard turned to me and said, 'There is nothing we can do for them. I'm taking my friends and going back to Pack. You are free to do whatever you want to do.' He came to me and freed me from my chains and collar. I looked at him in disbelief.
'Do you really set me free?' I said.
'Yes, I do. This stupid offer had really bothered me. Orphans are our Package members. We want to get rid of them for what reason. It worries me to think that if our children were to become orphans one day, they would face a similar circumstance. Go! But never say to anyone that you are from Darkness Moon Pack. I will tell all of you died during the attack of Rogues. If Alpha discovers you aren't dead, he will murder me and my family.'
'I will never allow this. Is it possible for me to learn your name? I'd like to know who set me free, at the very least. I owe you. In the future, if I am able, I would wish to repay my debt.'
'I am Mark Antew. And you?' he asked me.
'Adrian… Connor's nephew from the Blue Moon Pack. Is there any way you might inform him that I am still alive? I know that I ask a lot from you. It would be fantastic if you could.' I asked with hope.
'In truth, I'm not keen to tell anyone about this issue. But, because he's your uncle, I'll attempt to inform him.' He murmured something, left Aurora's body on the ground and picked up the bodies of his friends, and returned back to the Pack with the van.
