During the journey back to the Pack, Mark mind-linked to his Beta Steve and give a brief explanation of what just happened.
'Come directly to Alpha's office. Don't waste any time. He will want to see you and know all the details of what's going on.' said Beta Steve.
Because of the meeting in his Alpha's office, Mark was worried. He hoped Beta would be able to manage the issue. Alpha, on the other hand, had requested to see him. He didn't have a choice. He would go to the meeting that the Beta had set up. That's why he had to leave Adrian in a hurry.
But he was confused about Adrian too. Adrian was an orphan, a young boy. He was aware that he had sold for the highest price during this bid, but he had no idea why. He had also noticed this extra attention of his Alpha for Adrian. If Alpha was aware that he was not dead this would be a very big problem for him.

'Alpha and Beta are waiting for you in Alpha's office. We will take care of the bodies.' Said one of the guards.

Alpha James felt a deep relief when he heard that Adrian had been killed with the other prisoner.
