Jake pulled the chains off my wrists, forcing me to stand up. My hair and beard were shaved. I had dark green eyes and a very sharp jaw. My black hair was cut very short, but I guess it made me look good and fresh. Even the rags I was given were old but clean. My appearance had completely changed. I could not sleep until Jake came and took me to Beta's office. The office was huge. He was sitting behind the desk with a pen in his hand. He looked at me as Jake pushed me in front of him and forced me to kneel. A low growl escaped my lips, but I couldn't help it. Jake kicked me in the stomach and said, "know your place!" he growled. He fell down next to me, tried to gasp air, and looked at me with hatred. He bowed his head and said, 'As he wishes my master.'
