It was dim
The lamps light reflected off the red walls only to make everything it touched crimson
The pictures that adorned the walls looked like black holes sucking in the light
The silver tableware reflecting images that are projecting onto it
The flowers that sat on the table were a bright vibrant orange
It went well with the white tablecloth
The gentleman sitting beside me was smoking
As he inhaled and exhaled the smoke coming out like storm clouds just to fade away
His hair was slicked back shiny and sleek
He wore a suit that was unwrinkled all tucked in nice and neat
It looked new and very expensive
I noticed so many things that I wouldn't have if Charles were here
When I'm with him it's like everything around me never existed
The only thing I ever noticed was him
