Synopsis
Johnathan Reed had just finished celebrating his 18 birthday, when like any self-respecting novel protagonist, died to the hands of Truck-Kun. He laments in his last moments the fact he never made it past 24 hours of adulthood, and should have looked before crossing the road. Next thing he knows he's in a old medieval style house. After successfully running away from the house, and whatever problems might come from meeting people, he's in the middle of nowhere until he hears the classic *Ding* any gamer would be familiar with. The Art Is Not Mine. If you are the owner of the art and want it down. let me know and I'll oblige. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- --Do I have you interested? please do let me know of any feedback you have, as again, this is solely for my own enjoyment and to improve my literary skills. I'm the only person proofreading this, and the grammar is probably killing you, so just bear with me, because English was never my best subject Also my jokes could be unfunny, let me know. Also I will do my best for compelling characters, but again first time writing. so stuff like romance might flop and be underwhelming for people and is probably gonna be a side bit, not the main focus and later on.

Chapter 1 - Everybody's Favorite Vehicle

(This Chapter is gonna be 1st person, afterwards gonna switch to 3rd.)

Well today was supposed to be one of the most memorable days of my life, not the last day of it. I just turned 18, and had finished my birthday celebration with my parents and brother. It was great, we had chocolate cake, I had just moved out from my parents house, and gotten an apartment I was living in quite comfortably. But obviously, nothing good can last, and for me, that was adulthood.

I had just gotten a scholarship with my name, Jonathan Reed, on it. I felt like nothing could go wrong for me, so when it was time for me to cross the road back to my apartment, I didn't look. Biggest and last mistake I would ever make in this life. Halfway across the road, everyone's favorite, Truck-Kun, comes to cause the protagonist creating crime of Vehicular Manslaughter. Unfortunately for me I got hit with the full force of a semi truck.

Last thing I see is the night sky, thinking to myself, man, I really should have looked before I crossed the road, wonder how grand my funerals gonna be, I see someone run towards me, probably someone who saw me get hit, but I'm pretending it's the guy who hit me with the truck. I stick up my middle finger at him, and have one last laugh to myself.

I must have looked like a maniac, bleeding heavily with a middle finger stuck up to the sky, and a smile on my face. But what did I care, I had a minute most, and I was gonna enjoy it.

A bit later I was lamenting the fact I didn't make it 24 hours being an adult, that felt pretty awful. After what felt like a while, my eyes start to feel real heavy, so I close them for the last time. Or so I thought.

Not even 5 seconds later, I feel like I'm lying down in something hard, but trying to be soft. Curious, I open my eyes and see a thatched roof. I'm immediately on edge, assessing the situation. I'm in a room, with what I imagined a medieval peasant bed was like, which was to say straw over the floor, nothing to arm myself with nearby, and a forest nearby. Not wanting to meet whatever lived here, I booked it for the forest at my top speed.

After running for about 3 minutes, I stop to catch my breath. I see a lake nearby, and go to see my reflection and get a drink. After testing the waters with a nearby branch, I go closer to see myself. I'm quite startled to see a stranger staring back at me, he's quite handsome, like it's ridiculous how handsome he is. I feel bit of frustration about the fact that I couldn't have a drop dead face and body in my old body, I guess. I was never handsome, nor ugly, just average, and I had long since accepted that.

So when a handsome man stares back in the lake, I wonder how this situation arose. After about 5 seconds, I came to the no brainier realization that I had probably transmigrated to either the medieval era of earth, or another world. I was hoping desperately for the later, as the middle ages weren't the best for poor people, or anyone who wasn't nobility really.

After looking around for telltale signs of magic, or other otherworldly creatures, I hear a ding, like I was opening an RPG charter profile. I quickly turn my head to the source of the sound, and see a blue semi transparent window appear about a 3 feet away from my head. I read it fast, it read [Congratulations, user on being transmigrating, and acquiring the System of many eyes]
