Chapter 5 - The History

Chapter five: the history

Shirohara woke up and found her whole body covered with bandages. Only her eyes, nose, and mouth were not covered. "So, this is what a mummy feels like?" she thought.

She looked around her and found herself on a strange room. The ceiling was made of rosewood, and even the walls and the floor. Her bed was soft and her blanket There was a candle beside the bed where she was laying and Namia was near the window where there is a table and a paper. He seemed to be drawing as he was sitting on a round stool.

Her surroundings were strange for her. She stayed on a burrow surrounded the flowery field on top all her life after all. But now, she was

"Where are we?" She asked as she tries to get up.

"Oh, you're finally awake. We're in the kingdom of Antares right now. We're going to Illyria. But there are no ships travelling right now because of an upcoming storm, maybe we'll leave on the day after tomorrow." He told her as he started to fix the paper where he was drawing.

"Okay... and why am I covered with this thick white ribbon?" she said as she looks from her arms, shoulders, and down to her feet.

"I'll remove them later since your skin absorbed the pollens which turned your body red. Anyway, the pollens will be absorbed by that bandage so try to restrain yourself from trying to remove them." Namia recommended.

"Okay, I could last a week covered in mud anyway." she said.

Namia's face looked nervous and shocked. "Covered in mud?"

"Yeah, Sir Marcus said it's a part of my training, anyway when did we arrived here? What happened?" she asked.

"Oh, you didn't know that crimson flower pollens cause hallucinations eh. Anyway, you were asleep for two days. You're probably hungry, you better eat that food on your table to recover your strength." He said as he opened the window and let the wind enter the room.

Shirohara looked at the food on the table next to her bed. It was still warm as if it was freshly cooked. She just stared at it.

Namia noticed and asked. "What's wrong? Don't know how to use a spoon and fork? Want me to feed you, eh? Come on, you're already twelve." He told her. "Nothings gonna happen if you'll watch that, it won't get cold either."

"Okay… but what is Illyria?" she asked as she picked up the spoon.

"It's a continent. Do you know the name of the world we lived in?" he asked as he walked towards Shirohara and sat on the chair next to the table. He placed the paper which he was drawing at earlier.

"The world? Tensei?" she asked as she started slurping the soup.

"Yes, the word Tensei were the combination of all the continents first letters. Taika, Electra, Nosaxa, Syrma, Ebla, and Illyria." He explained as he unfolds the paper.

"That was cool. Who made that up?" she asked.

"Well, this would be a very long topic but it's not connected to alchemy so—"

"I want to know. Tell me about Tensei while we're here and teach me alchemy when we arrived on Illyria." She looked interested in history of Tensei.

"Fine, but are you sure you won't get bored?" he asked.

"Nope, I won't!" she replied.

Namia was glad. It looks like she was recovering after the events from the past. It's a good thing. Maybe history would distract her for a while. He thought.

"Okay, it was the previous savior and creator who chose the name Tensei, and was the one who named the continent." He narrated.

"Previous savior?" she asked curiously.

"Yes, you see. When Chaos and Order became imbalanced, Apocalypse is awaken to its slumber. That's why those two should always be balanced. Here is the map of Tensei." He showed him.

"Hmn, before that. I want you to tell me about that chaos and order thing. Like cant you start from the very beginning?" she asked.

Namia sighed. He didn't thought it would end up this way.

"Okay." He took a deep breath.

"Very long ago, two worlds existed. Chaos and Order. Chaos was ruled by the great mighty beasts and the Order was ruled by the great white dragons."

"Wait, chaos was a world? Not like chaos that means commotion?" Shirohara tilted her head.

"Yes, both were different. Anyway, A world full of chaos was destroyed and so does with the world full of order." Namia explained.

"It's in order, right? Then why is it destroyed?" she asked again.

"It's because there is nothing left to do. The great white dragons couldn't reproduce. They all had became bigger and bigger that they ended up destroying the world. Both fragments from the worlds collided and giving birth to Apocalypse. Apocalypse destroyed everything and recreated again using the pieces of both worlds. But the great mighty beasts immediately went towards the new world and did what they wanted. Apocalypse wanted to destroy Solaria but then a great white dragon descended and created balance all over Solaria. It lasted for a thousand years and as soon as balance was created, Apocalypse went to slumber. But the dragons— descendants of the great mighty beasts and great white dragons had awakened Chaos. They burned everything they see, destroyed the great white dragon's creation and awakened Apocalypse. Apocalypse wanted to erase everything from existence. However, the great white dragons don't want it to happen. They created entities with no abilities. But they ended up foods for dragons, so they gave them wisdom and a lot of skills which made them able to communicate and create peace with the dragons." He paused to have a drink.

Meanwhile Shirohara looked amazed.

"Hey! Tell me how dragons looked like! And wait… what's the difference between a great white dragon and a dragon?"

"Well, a great white dragon's head was just a size of this world, they're pretty long and bigger than you think. They don't have horns. And the dragons came in different colors but they were never pure white. They can have two to six horns and could just be twelve feet tall. They had four legs meanwhile the great white dragon is a huge snake-a-like but with huge fangs and fur than of a scale." He illustrated as Shirohara watched.

"Wow, you had a great drawing skills! Anyway, what happened when the chaos and order were balanced?"

"The Apocalypse was still awake and swore to destroy everything again and returned to its slumber. But it didn't last that long when humans existed. Unexpectedly, they were trickier and more dangerous than any other entities. They became more superior and ended up having chaos in the world. Apocalypse destroyed everything. And then the great white dragon recreated again a new world. New rules, there were two of them left and the other one sacrificed himself to recreate Arcaea. The name of the great white dragon was Tensei, so this world was named after him. He also created three moons, the amber, sapphire, and silver. Each of them switches in the sky every hundred years." He paused again to take another sip of a juice that he made after making an orange seed grow in a pot and it immediately grow and had ripe fruits.

"Wow! That's cool!" Shirohara amazedly watched Namia's alchemy. "You grow plants that fast!" she said.

Namia hoped she'd get distracted and not ask about Tensei but he was wrong. After Shirohara take a sip, she asked him to continue.

"So, anyway. Gods were created to guide human lives. Yet unexpectedly, chaos finds a way as humans were vulnerable in terms of evil thoughts. The gods decided to choose among the souls of the fallen ones to return the balance. It turned out well and they decided to do it every time both chaos and order were imbalanced." He sighed.

"Well, you said… I'm the chosen one… but thinking about it right now… I don't know… I don't think I'm ready… or I don't think I can do it." She sighed.

"Don't focus on saving the world right now. Focus on seeing the beauty of this world and look for the things you wanted to protect." He advised as he stood up and closed the window. The strong wind is coming and the dark clouds of the storm can be seen.

Shirohara looked down at the floor. "What if I couldn't find anything I wanted to protect?" she asked.

"I don't think you won't find anything you wouldn't wat to protect, you only existed here for twelve years after all." He smiled at him.

"Wait… how did you know? And how old are you exactly?" she asked while she was observing Namia.

"Mokuro told me before. And I existed in Tensei for a nine hundred years." He smiled.

And that was the time Shirohara had become more interested in finding out everything in Tensei.
