The solders of the heavenly army lined up in two rows as the Lord passed to his daughters shrine, the shrine of the future celestial fox. Her shrine was built not specifically for her, but for her past ancestors. There was a belief that the ancestors dwell there still and protect their descendants waiting for the next vessel to take their duties and rule in the sun and moon temples.
"Augustus, we both know, your grace, not just anyone is allowed in the dwelling place of our holy protectors." The high priest, Lapis said coming down the steps of the shrine. He bowed before approaching the Emperor.
"Lapis, you of all people know I wouldn't come here if it wasn't urgent and It's about Nikita, I had found out about recently." Lapis nodded and started up the steps with the Lord behind him as the sky started to clear to a bright blue, in their realm, they hadn't seen the sun or the moon since the time of their ancestors.
"The little flower finally bloomed, I had sensed her aura being much different when she was younger. Her kind heart, should have made it easier to notice it my Lord." He said as they approached the entrance.
"I hadn't noticed that my daughter, was going to be the next heavenly protector, she hasn't showed any signs of transitioning" Augustus said as they entered and knelt in front of the altar. Lapis asked for silence as he poured incense on the altar and a light golden smoke escaped the bowl and Lapis had a big smile on his face.
"Alright, your grace, the child was chosen from conception, which means the queen mother knew before she passed on. The child went to the mortal realm for transitioning, and the ancestors blessed her saying, that she may rule with her eternal partner by her side."
"If she needs a partner, then can we arrange a marriage for her to conceal the pact?"
"Sorry, an arranged Marriage, Sire? Nikita? Ha!"

"What do you mean what are we? What is it that you want us to be?" Kingsley asked as they let go of each other and he stood at the other side of the counter.
"I was just trying to find out what kind of relationship you and I have together. But obviously I was not talking in a romantic type of way, that wouldn't make any sense, I'm nine hundred and ninety nine years old and you're..."
"I'm twenty. But to answer your question, I just think you and I are really good friends and that's how it's been since the first day we met, don't you think?" He asked but instead of receiving an answer he heard a huge bang from her side and rushed over to her and felt a chill go down his spine.
"Hey!"
