Arius focused. Breath in… breath out… Breath in, hold. . . Take aim, fire.
Arius's progress so far had been good! Almost alarmingly fast, having after 5 hours of practice, now being able to hit 7/10 arrows within one inch of each other, Every 5 tries that is.
But what Arius didn't notice was a small head peeking at him threw the bushes. Going wide-eyed, the goblin immediately was going to run when it accidentally snapped a twig underfoot, creating an audible snap in the quiet forest.
*hm? What was that*
Looking closer, Arius was able to see a green fellow, only around 3'8 in size, frantically running deep into the forest. Reading his bow, Arius followed the steps of breath in, aim, fire!
A moment later the arrow flew 21 feet, hitting the shoulder of the goblin. Being found out, the goblin turned to fight! Thunk~… an arrow was deeply embedded into the now-dead goblin's left eye. The corpse fell, as Arius silently cheered for his first kill with a bow.
"Bro, I got my first kill! My shot was like pew, he was all like turn. And then I was like, bang you dead!"
"Arius. While it is cool that you got your first kill don't just kill things for no reason!"
"Ah! Don't worry. The fact that there are multiple goblins means there must be a goblin settlement nearby… at least according to the manga."
Thinking about it, bro, for the bro he is, gave a clean-cut response. "Just because it's in the manga, doesn't mean it's true to this world! Remember, there are infinitely many versions of this story's universe!"
"Thanks for the reminder," Arius said while walking back to his cave shelter.
*I need to spruce this place up*
—————————
A figure could be seen keeping along the branches of the forest. This was Arius! His hunting was getting better, so much that he can kill a rabbit first try. But in front of Arius was a problem. The goblins that he had been finding periodically; he had found their village! The village was an oval shape, and around 200 feet from one end to the other.
"Any ideas Bro?"
"Why don't we come back here later."
"Ya, but they will probably go out and harm people later!"
"As I said, we can raid their village 'later' when you're better!"
"Fine"
As Arius turned away his first mission popped up!
[protect the fields]
You have found a goblin village! These monsters reproduce faster than rabbits! They may soon take over the nearby human settlement.

"What?" Arius didn't expect to get a quest, even less so one related to the goblins. He didn't even know they existed! "Bro! Did you know this existed?"
"Ummm… nooo~, promise" Bro was lying threw his teeth! He had never lied before, so he was incredibly bad at lying.
"Bro don't lie. I know, you know, that I know you are lying!" Arius dramatically retorted.
Retreating to his cave, Arius contemplated how he was to do this Quest.
The bland inside of the cave greeted Arius, with its dull-colored grey walls.
Up to this point, Arius had gathered a total of 250SP for use. And while decorating his house was an option, it wouldn't leave him with much SP to further invest in the quest.
(AN: I don't know why but this entire chapter so far has taken me 2&1/2 days to write)
"Hey Arius, you should look into some ranged explosives. Maybe a howitzer would be good, you know, the one from the world you were born on!" Quickly going to check the price of a howitzer, they found its price was way too above them.
"Bro it's 750SP for the howitzer and 250SP per shot. How do you expect me to get this? It's the same amount as the mission reward, for the full thing! I'm not even saying I need more than one shot!"
"Ahh… moving on. Let's work on that plan." Bro said, trying to change the subject.
"I intend to talk about this, howitzer thing, later. Moving on, how are we to kill the goblins, without a howitzer, or do you not know?"
"We could set a trap of some sorts. Or maybe use some arrows with special features, like combustion arrows, or piercing arrows."
Arius knew these were good ideas. Charging from the front was a bad idea, as it would get him killed, The howitzer was too expensive, and going in pugilist style with a bow is flat out stupid for a longbowman.
"How about I use steel thread as a weapon? It's like setting a trap, while also being the bait yourself! If they don't step up to attack me first, I can also just mince them up with the threads."
"Good idea, but if we're talking about close range, we should use this weapon in the SP shop called the war sythe. It has a long handle and a crescent blade. The blade
is facing vertically on the top of the shaft."
"Well, why don't I flip something? Do we have a coin anywhere or a weird-looking stick?"
"I got you. There is a coin called a crown for only 1 SP in the shop. On one side it has a crown, the other a raven perched upon a branch."
Arius without any further hesitation bought the coin and flipped it. He had already decided that the raven would be the war sythe, or tails.
As the coin flipped up into the air reflecting the sun from launch to apex. The coin's descent brought great mystery.
It landed with a nice and quiet, but tipped around once or twice before settling down with the raven... on... The side facing up towards the sky. Arius was to practice the war sythe! A very rare and forgotten weapon.

(AN: a war sythe is completely real and very different from your traditional sythe! Please go take a look on google at 'war Sythe'. The weapons Our innocent main character Arius was to use was decided threw vote. Bow had 2 votes Sythe had 1 something else called a •god carving whatever from breathe of the wild was suggested• and GuyTB gave an in depth recommendation on steel trying weapons! In the end all ties where felt with in a coin toss and the final winners if not obvious where war Sythe and bow and arrow! These could change or fade out depending on the direction of the story.
This chapter took me half the week to write! I'm sorry it took me so long, but with me needing to wait for the vote to end, I couldn't really write. On top of this I'm running on no ideas on wtf to do that won't move the story too fast! If I'm going to fast, or slow, tell me please.
