Chapter 7 - Chapter 6 - Haikus!? Decorating is supposed to be hard.

Pondering hew was, about furnishing his cave, Arius asked for help. "Bro, should I go bare-bones, or add tons of trinkets?"

Bro replied with a chuckle but continued. "Well, are you swimming in money, or asking bad questions?" While a figment of Arius's conscious. Bro was a piece merged with 'The Path' and was finding the question funny.

"Fine, fine" Arius reluctantly gave up. Browsing the Source-Points Shop, there were many extravagant beds, tables, heads as trophies, such stuff that Arius couldn't afford.

Passing by many great or interesting products Arius came to the cheapest all-in-one pack he could find. "The super decorate my home pack... Sounds sketchy, especially for only 250 SP."

"It is super sketch but if you sell the coin back you will be able to perfectly afford it." bro had commented to lt help Arius remember that he only had 249SP and a coin worth 1SP.

With expectations worth backed glass, Arius sold the coin back to the SP shop and bought the Super Decorate My Home pack.

It arrived in a box with a funny cartoon of a house on the side. Cutting open, and opening, the box five small gyroscope-like orbs could be seen inside. The orbs were all labeled, with things such as a chair, bathtub, or bed.

*well, it came with surprisingly few items... Hope they're of useable quality.* Arius thought while taking an orb out from the box labeled bed. Finding a button and pressing It Arius threw it as if it was a Pokeball into the corner of his decent-sized cave. Out came something more akin to a sleeping bag than a bed.

The small blowup mattress sleeping bag thing, made a large contrast with the cave, being only half a meter wide, and one and a half meters long. Compared to the cave which measured 15 meters back and 10 wide.

This bed thing went in the back right nook, just far enough as to not let Arius hit his head when getting up. On the opposite side of the cave, Arius was already deploying a table with one chair. This table looked simple with its four legs and flat top. The thing that made it not normal, was that its center could pop up, out of the table in a folding manner to make a small lantern!

Placing a, truly basic, wooden chair with the table, Arius was left with a bathtub and a random un-labeled orb. The bathtub was unneeded due to a nearby spring Arius had found. With one useful orb left, Arius made a risky decision.

"I Choose you, Randomness! Go!"

Shouting a bad catchphrase and throwing the orb, a big thud came about when the orb never transformed… the orb then pulsates red.

"Uh, that wasn't supposed to happen"

"Ya, I can agree with that," bro agreed. "But if it's not broken then what's in the orb?"

"Maybe an actual house. Or a tall thing of some kind."Arius was positively confuzuld*.

*I know this isn't a real word but it gets my point across really well.

"Hey what's my status sheet like?"

[name: Arius

[race: progenitor, ???

[subordinates: 0

[Strength: H 150

[Endurance: I 73

[Dexterity: H 105

[Agility: H 125

[Magic: H125

[Abilities]

[Blessing of Yggdrasil] SSS

[Pain resistance] G

[Guise of oblivion] SSS

[hidden presence] H

[Greater will] H (locked)

Nothing new had popped up on Arius's status sheet, But that was normal. And what was even more normal was Arius having a stat increase after his hard work and training.

now that his cave was decorated, mildly, Arius was to think of a plan to get rid of the goblins.

"That's done, now how to kill fifty goblins and one chief. For starters, I have only one weapon, the bow. Now the best thing to do would be to pick them off in groups of 5-6 with something explosive. But I don't have anything explosive."

"You could grow some brain-, um... plant something carnivorous." bro slipped through his teeth.

"That's a bad idea, how would we even kill the 50 goblins let alone the chief" Arius retorted to bro's blunder." I could just kill the chief, it would be completing the mission."

"I have an idea," said bro "if you place a bunch of traps around the goblin's village, and then lure them into the traps, we could whittle their numbers down!"

This idea was just what Arius needed. Traps are a good idea because put simply goblins are stupid, and the only reason they are this organized in the first place is due to the goblin's chief. If there was no goblins chief then all the other goblins would be running around like headless chickens. And in this case, their stupidity will be their downfall.

"Hey bro I didn't think of this but, what kind of trap am I supposed to use? Pitfalls at their front and back door would work but are not good because I would need to build it, right in front of the gate, where they could kill me."

"Then how about luring them out like 100 get into the woods and kill them individually, or set a bunch of traps and wait for them to kill themselves." bro suggestion was just what Arius needed.

"Then I will go and collect some SP to but some traps"

---------

3 days later

---------

After 3 days of hunting, gathering, and experimenting, Arius had found and bought the perfect tool for terminating the goblins. "A mine, an explosive device that combusts when something sets it off by stepping on it or otherwise. At least that's what the description says."

"I feel like this is going to easy?"

"Dont go raising flags like that bro! You'll make us fail!"

"Oh... Well I didn't say aannnyything~ promise"

With one casual line, bro might have just ruined Arius's chance at an easy victory.

Arius was now ready to face the goblins with his 20 mines and 35 arrows.

—• Goblin •—

A common monster found in forests, mountains, and a wide variety of other landscapes. Most adventurers don't bother with killing them as their generally too stupid to live for long, but when a chief comes along they can organize into massive groups
