Chapter 18 - Over-mean Jane

"I'm not going anymore. You can go...I will come to meet you later." Jane replied Ric.

Ric's anger rose and she was about to start a fight with Jane but all of a sudden she suddenly stopped and walked away. I wondered why she just stopped that way while I was already expecting her to help me take Jane away from Lucian.

Lucian stood up from his seat and wanted to go out of the class when Jane held his hand. He was shocked by her action and glared at her as if he was expecting some explanation.

"Lucian, I want to go with you. Let's go eat lunch together," she said coyly and Lucian had no choice but to give in.

My stomach boiled in anger and I felt like ripping her hair off her head so she could become bald and ugly!

She was going out with Lucian and I had to stop them because I knew giving her more time with Lucian would only give more percent to the probability that I would never get Lucian.

I didn't know what to do but if I didn't take any action, then they would leave in seconds!

I stood up instinctively and just walked to them without any plan. "What should I say? What should I do? I must not embarrass myself." I kept saying to myself but I couldn't even stop my leg from moving forward.

Before I knew it, I was already in front of them and I was still moving while staring at the floor.

I nearly bumped into Jane but she pushed me away. She pushed me so hard that I fell but Lucian held me before I could fall completely.

It was like time stopped still as we both looked into each other eyes and none of us could break the eye contact. It was like a slow siren song was being played underneath and we both got pulled into the pool of fantasy full of lovely and sweet occurrences.

It was really like we were the only existence in the class at that very moment and nobody else mattered to us anymore. I wanted that moment to last forever but one jealous somebody had to forcefully pull us apart.

"Are you blind?? Why won't you look at where you are going??! What were you thinking with your head??" Jane shouted with anger after pulling us apart and I felt a bit embarrassed. I didn't plan it that way. I had no plan. It just happened to be that way! It really wasn't my intention. So why the hell was she screaming that loud and embarrassing me??

I wanted to reply but I lost my words and my head was blank to even think of a suitable reply at that particular moment. So I just said what came to my mind "I'm sorry." I muttered and turned to leave. I was just too embarrassed!

Jane gripped my hand and pulled me back "Where do you think you are going??! Won't you clean his clothes that you stained with your dirty hands??"

Eyes wide opened, mouth opened agape, and blood furiously rushing in my brain. I gazed at her with surprise and shock.

Jane and I never clashed before. We were never friends but we never fought either. I never expected her to react that way to me even if she was jealous! I was so furious that I felt like hitting her at that moment.

My two friends and some of my classmates all stood up to defend me.

"That was too much, Jane!"

"You were the one that pushed her that she almost fell. If it was not for Lucian, she would have been hurt."

"You are supposed to apologize, Jane!"

"That's too mean, Janes!"

Our classmates all scolded her, obviously not pleased with what she did because everyone already stood for me. I had nothing to say anymore, so I just kept quiet and let them continue scolding her.

She felt embarrassed and cheated as she listened to the words of all our schoolmates and it was against her. Nobody supported her and that rubbed her the wrong way.

She searched around and realized no one was ready to support her. She wanted to leave but she didn't want to leave that way. She wanted a single person if not two to support her and defend her. So she remembered Lucian.

Lucian hadn't said a word since we were pulled apart. He just pocketed his hands in his trouser and kept staring at me like there was something that fascinate him on my face and to be sincere, that made me a little uncomfortable and I just wanted to leave that place.

Jane stared at him to ask him to speak up for her because she was sure, a word from Lucian could silence everyone in the class. Only to find out her supposed to be savior gaze was on me.

Lucian didn't even realize what was going on around him as his full focus was on me like he was seeing me for the first time in his life.
