"Wow! Jane is so beautiful tonight! So beautiful!"
"She was always beautiful but today? She is far more than beautiful! She is eye candy!"
"Exactly! I just wish she is my girlfriend right now!"
"Look at her shape! This girl is damn pretty!"
The hall was full of everyone appreciating Jane's beauty. She felt proud and happy. Hearing her praises from the other students in the room made her feel like she was on top of the world!
She walked majestically to one side and started looking around. Maybe she would see Lucian but he was nowhere to be found!
She felt a little disappointed but not so much because she knew he would come soon. She knew he wouldn't miss the party! She intentionally dressed to kill tonight to impress Lucian. The gown she wore was on the trending list and extremely expensive. So she was sure she would be the most well dressed that night and that would practically make her the prettiest for the night.
Though Mabel was prettier than her, She was not as rich as her. So there was no way she would dress more than her that night. Jane knew she had the night and she was sure she'd win the prettiest female award that night!
She wore her glass and sat down waiting for Lucian to enter and see her incomparable beauty!
A guy walked up to her and greeted "Hi Jane!" the guy greeted him cheerfully.
Jane looked up at the guy "What do you want?" Was her reply and her voice was extremely cold and icy. She was making it clear to the guy that he was not welcome but the guy was quite thick-skinned and he sat down on the chair opposite to hers.
"What do you want?" Jane asked again but the guy only replies with a smile.
"Are you deaf?? I said what do you want?". She asked again.
"Don't you know me, Jane?"
"And who the hell are you??!"
The guy felt a little embarrassed but he still wasn't ready to give up!
"I am your class captain, Janes! I am Rain!" The guy replied with a bit of coldness in his voice.
"Class captain my foot! It's better you stand up and leave there now because that place is for someone else." Jane told the guy with no ounce of kindness in her voice.
"Who is this place for? Are you waiting for someone?" The guy asked
"Someone special and it's my date for tonight!"
"Who is your date tonight?" The guy asked with curiosity!
"Who else do you think it can be? Who else is worthy of me in this school if not him? It's Lucian of course! He's the only one that has the right to stand beside me in this whole school!"
"So, Lucian is the only one who can stand beside you and be your boyfriend in this school right?" The guy asked with surprise. He was surprised at the level of her mentality because everyone in the school knew Lucian didn't have time for any lady and he was always the type that loved flexing but not with girls. So why was the arrogant girl telling him Lucian was his partner?
"Well... maybe Lucian chose her to be his partner for tonight!" The guy thought but was still seated there. He wasn't ready to go back because his friends would mock him.
They were still on that when the MC took the microphone again and started addressing the audience.
"Hello, guys! It's time for the presidential Speech! We are going to call out the president right now for his speech and I would love it if you guys jam your hands together as I call our handsomeness! Amiable! Respectable! And an honest President LUCIAN!!!" The MC shouted and the whole hall buzzed with shouts and claps!!!
"Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh!" They all started screaming and there, their Mr. President entered the hall honorably!
He wore a very fitting regalia suit and his hair was combed stylishly in a model-like way. It was like he was just pulled out of a magazine! He was extremely handsome and pleasing to the eye.
The shouts increased as he walked to the podium and the people could not help but scream along with their claps! They were happy that their president was a very handsome lad!
Lucian walked to the podium and revealed a charming smile to the audience. Everyone was mesmerized by his smile but the one who they all admire was a bit worried as he checked over and over again to see his date for the night but she was nowhere to be found.
He kept looking around and the only person he saw that caught little of his attention was the smiling Jane. She was blushing and her cheeks were pepper red which made her more beautiful.
Lucian stared at her, not because of her beauty but because he wished to ask her about Mabel but then he remembered the two girls were mortal enemies.
He collected the microphone and started his speech.
"Hello, ladies and gentlemen! Hello classmates!" He paused for the audience's reply.
They all replied in the chorus which turned out as noise.
He cleared his throat and continued "This night, we are here for our dinner night! If you are happy about this dinner party. Shout hey!"
The whole hall shouted " Heyyyy" with claps and jumps.
"I thank you all for coming to this party tonight! And as the organizer of this dinner party, I say welcome to you all!" he paused for a while. Then continued "This night is not for any immoral things or indecent stuff but the night, we all have to know each other better and become closer and united! The school authority warned us against any immoral act today and I will want us all to be careful."
