Everyone, both the males and females kept shouting Lucian's name as he was well known and liked by all!
The MC smiled and brought out a paper from his pocket.
"Well... you all have chosen but the committees had chosen someone already and ..." he paused and unfold the paper "I will have to check whom they choose and know if it correlates with yours!" He stared at the paper but his smile never left his face the whole while it was clear he was amused by something or someone!
"The winner for the king of our entire school is... Lucian!" The MC finally announced the winner and the whole hall cheered and screamed in happiness as Lucian entered the hall majestically. He had changed his suit to a more fitting one and he was looking extremely dashing! His walks and his smile could steal any lady's heart and the girls all wanted to at least be his friend!
"My king, please come to the podium! You need to wait here for your queen! We don't want a king with no wife!" Said the MC and everyone burst out laughing from his joke.
Lucian's smile widened as he walked to the podium. He bowed slightly to all the people in the hall. He was looking all happy and good with that smile on his face but no one knew he was feeling the heat under the smile... He didn't see Mabel and he was getting worried. He could just see Christabel and Georgia too.
He pretended to be smiling while his face searched around the hall for Mabel. He searched and searched with his eyes before he decided to give up and talk.
"Now, My king, who do you want for your queen? I mean who do you want beside you as your queen?" The MC asked Lucian while he bowed respectfully like he was really bowing for the king. and the whole hall also followed suit and bowed with the MC.
Lucian laughed slightly and took the Mic from the MC. He also bowed slightly like a real king greeting his subject which caused laughter in the hall.
"Ah! Thank you everyone for choosing me. I'm really honored to be here and I'm not sure if I really deserve this but one thing I'm sure about is that... you all are the best! And I love you all." he paused and the students cheered him on, to continue "Yes! I am told to choose a queen who I will like by my side..." He paused again and looked around the hall maybe Mabel already entered but he still could not see her. He sighed but something finally caught his eyes and he looked in that direction.
What caught his eyes what Mabel's handbag! He once saw the handbag with Mabel before. So he recognized it at first glance and his eyes immediately lit up. He looked at the person holding the bag and he was disappointed!
It wasn't Mabel holding the bag but Georgia and beside her was Christabel and Mabel was nowhere to be found.
He sighed again as he was already getting frustrated. "Where are you, Mabel?" He thought but he knew he was wasting too much time and he had to talk already before the people start suspecting him.
"I ... I…" he didn't know who to mention. The person he really wanted wasn't in and he was sure the MC would call Jane if he returned the Mic but then, he had no choice!
"I really don't know who to choose. Every lady here is extremely beautiful and is all too beautiful to resist! How I wish the king can marry hundreds of wives then I would have loved to marry them all... believe me, I'm truly confused as to who to choose." he stopped and turned to the MC. "If you don't mind Mr. MC, can you help me choose, please? I'm really in a dilemma right now please kindly help your dear king," he said and the whole hall, especially the females who were already blushing laughed out loud.
Except for one person and that was Janes. She was not happy because she had thought Lucian would call her out himself so she can be more honored.
The king choosing and the MC choosing were quite different! In a way, the king would only choose the lady he likes. Any girl the king choose himself would actually be the king's heartthrob as the king would love her because he chose her because he loved her in the first place and she would be highly respected.
But the one the MC has chosen was just like a concubine! Because there was the probability that the king wouldn't like her at all as his heart didn't choose her. And the kind of respect he would be given can never be compared to the king's choice!.
So that made the arrogant Jane a little sour but she still felt good as she will be seen beside Lucian. Take pictures with him, eat with him, dance with him, and even work on her plan for the night!
The night was surely going to be fruitful!
The MC collected the Mic and laughed "Wow! The king is such a funny man! He saw lots of beauties and he became confused as to who to choose for his queen." The hall laughed
