Jane gritted her teeth in anger and she felt the urge to give Mabel a strong slap but she knew that would only soil her name more. She had embarrassed herself already and she knew how far that would go after the dinner night. She didn't want to do more than she already did! So she controlled her urge and calmed her raging nerve.
"Miss Mabel! You might have won this but that doesn't mean you've won Lucian! Lucian is mine and I will prove that to you tonight! Wait and see!" She whispered into Mabel's ear and rushed away from the stage!
Mabel froze for a while after she heard what Jane said. She knew Jane had a plan for that night but what the plan is? She didn't know and that was what she feared. but she composed herself and smiled. She would worry about that later!
Lucian was still speechless! He had been speechless since the MC called Mabel's name and he was dumbstruck when he saw Mabel enter.
