"Wow! They are leaving! It's time to shine!" She shouted happily and rose up from her seat and walked with pride, up to Lucian's table.
Lucian was still smiling sheepishly at the retreating back of Mabel and her two friends when he noticed the arrival of Jane and his smile froze while he looked up at her.
"Hi, Lucian! I see you are done eating!" Jane said as she stared at some empty plates on the table.
"Ohh! Jane! I thought you left! I saw you leaving earlier. When did you come back?" Lucian asked casually but deep down, he wanted to mock and insult her but he knew he must be composed!
Jane knew the word wasn't so nice but she felt nothing about it! All she wanted was to be done and dusted with her plan and everything will be in her favor!
"Oh yeah! I left then because I had to quickly attend to something and I came back immediately I was through with it," she said and sat down on Mabel's seat.
