Chapter 6 - Party (a)

As usual, Cleopatra was busy doing her homework in her room, while the house was left deserted. Only a few maids were cleaning the furniture which I met when I entered. Maybe Delvin hasn't come home from college yet. Nathan must also be busier with the company he currently manages, ever since he set up another branch.

"Where's my father?" I asked one of the waiters who passed me.

"Gone to see his business relative, Miss."

What an important man. How he wants me to be who he wants me to be when he tends to be apathetic about his children. Don't blame Mom if she left Dad. It was all because of his selfishness.

Immediately, I rushed to my room, getting ready to attend the party that Chloe threw. Jillian called me several times, asking where I was because she had already left with the others to Chloe's house. I just replied, that I might be late to arrive there. It's a good time to run away from home again. I usually go when the house is quiet. Sometimes Nathan would act obnoxious if he found out I was running away and then look for me until he found me, no matter if I was having a party or spending the night at the club.

Tonight I wore a black dress with a thin strap, showing my perfect curves, and showing my long legs. It didn't take long to get dressed, I grabbed a small bag that I hung in the closet, then left the room. I did my best to walk slowly as I passed Cleo's room, so she wouldn't hear the sound of my heels hitting the tiles. My lips pursed crookedly, hoping anxiously if Cleo caught me again.

I could only breathe a sigh of relief when I got to the garage. Not wanting to wait any longer, the Porsche Cayman, which became my vehicle, left the garage and the fence of the main house, speeding towards Chloe's house. Party!

The sound of loud banging music was heard outside Chloe's house, which was crowded with my friends who had joined the party. Chloe is one of the popular students at my school. Every week she regularly held a party, invited almost all the students, and plunged into the fun she created.

As my feet stomped on the marble floor of this house, my eyes stopped on some of my girls. They waved, signaling me to come closer as soon as possible. They seemed to be under the influence of alcohol, dancing to the loud music, and exclaiming like children. I shook my head at their antics, then grabbed a glass of wine.

Letting my friends dance wildly, I walked away. I took a sip of the wine in my hand while looking around the place. Chloe, who was wearing her sexy sleeveless dress tonight, was seen squirming with her friends, laughing loudly without caring about the touch of our boy friend's hands.
