Gabriela turned her attention back to the altar in front of her. She swallowed her saliva. Somehow Matthew, this time, looks more sinister than before. Gabriela looked at the parchments and relics that lay on her altar. She then glanced back at Matthew sitting on the sofa in her living room. Gabriela's hand slowly reached for the wooden cross on the altar.
Matthew chuckled. He knew Gabriela was staring at him, holding a wooden cross. Matthew remained calm in his seat while Gabriela ran to him carrying the wooden cross.
"You think you can kill me with this?" said Matthew, grabbing Gabriela's arm. Slowly he looked at Gabriela.
Gabriela groaned and tried to plunge the cross she was holding onto Matthew's shoulder. But Matthew's grip on his wrist held him very tightly. Gabriela screamed as Matthew squeezed her wrists, making a rattling sound like wood breaking.
