Lily squeezed Matthew's hand as the Rolls-Royce they were riding lined up to enter the town hall. That night, the city hall seemed busy, with dozens of luxury cars going in and out of the area. Flashes of camera lights continued to flash as people got out of their luxury cars.
"You look worried," Matthew said.
Lily took a deep breath. "How could I not be worried? I've never been to an event like this before. What's more, it looks like a gathering of nobles."
"It's just a fundraising dinner, Lily," said Matthew.
"Still. Don't you see the fancy cars in front of yours?"
"You're in a fancy car, too," said Matthew.
"Hmm. You're right," said Lily.
"Then why are you still worried?" Matthew asked, looking at Lily. "You have to get used to things like this since you're already part of my family."
Lily took a deep breath. "I didn't think being a Matthew Williams fiancé would have to make me attend this event. I hate parties, though."
