Matthew walked over to Lily, who was sitting on the back porch of his house. He landed a kiss on Lily's head and sat down next to her. "How? Has it gotten better?"
Lily smiled at Matthew while nodding her head. "You can calm down, honey. It's not as painful as when I woke up this morning."
Matthew took a deep breath. He then embraced Lily and hugged her. "Again, I am sorry."
"That's enough. Don't keep apologizing. Okay?" said Lily.
Matthew nodded his head. Then he kissed Lily's forehead. Matthew then carried Lily in his arms. He carefully hugged Lily so as not to hurt Lily when he touched her.
Lily laughed softly, noticing Matthew being careful when he touched her. "Matt, you don't have to be like that. I am not a glass ornament that breaks easily. You know, a woman's body can withstand pain up to 57 Del. It was the same as twenty bones breaking simultaneously. So, act as usual."
"I'm trying, Lily," said Matthew.
"Good," said Lily.
