While washing his body under the bathroom shower in his room, Ryan let his head run through cold water. He deliberately lowered his head while feeling the sensation of cold water piercing his pores. While hoping the cold water can cool his heart after the news of Lily and Matthew's engagement.
"I'm fruitless," Ryan muttered. Then he took a deep breath and closed his eyes. The image of the blue diamond ring wrapped around Lily's ring finger returned when Ryan closed his eyes. He then opened his eyes again and hurriedly finished his shower.
