Ildar, Sigmund, Collin, and Matthew looked at Lily with disbelief. Ildar then smirked while looking at Lily. Meanwhile, Lily looked at Ildar fearlessly.
"I said Matthew isn't going anywhere," Lily said again, glaring at Ildar.
Ildar was surprised by Lily's not being intimidated by him. Slowly he approached Lily's bed. Undaunted, Lily continued to stare at Ildar.
"Lily Valter Graff, right? You are quite a brave girl," Ildar said coldly at Lily.
"You won't be able to take Matthew. I won't let you take him," Lily said.
"You already know what will happen if you two stay together?" Ildar asked Lily.
"Even if I die, I won't leave Matthew," Lily replied.
"I don't think you need to meddle in their business, Ildar. Matthew isn't the only vampire who has ever had a relationship with a human. You know that," Sigmund interrupted.
