Lily and Ryan were confused to see several police patrol cars and ambulances parked in front of the laboratory. Lily rushed out of Ryan's car and approached the Paramedics, who were carrying a stretcher.
"What happened?" Lily asked the Paramedic.
The paramedics ignored Lily's question and continued on their way to the ambulance. Lily finally rushed into the laboratory. After seeing several police officers talking to the research assistant involved in their project to resurrect Matthew, she is even more confused.
Ryan, who had just finished parking his car, immediately got out of his car and ran after Lily into the laboratory. Somehow he felt that something terrible had happened in the laboratory. The Police have even started to put up a police line around the laboratory.
The first room Lily went to was the room where Matthew was recovering after being awakened from his long slumber. As soon as Lily arrived in the room, she immediately approached Max, who was talking to the Police.
"What happened, Max?" Lily asked. She then noticed the room supposed to be used to treat Matthew looked empty, and there were some bloodstains on the walls.
Lily became a little panicked and asked Max again. "Where's Matthew?"
Max turned his attention to Lily and took a deep breath. "We moved it to the storage room."
"You put him to sleep again?" Lily asked in disbelief.
Max then talked to the Police, who were interrogating him. "Thank you. I will come and testify. We had to conduct an evaluation meeting first."
The policeman nodded his head. He glanced at Lily briefly and nodded slowly. After that, he left Max and Lily.
Lily looked at Max with a suspicious look. "What's is happening here, Max?"
Max took a deep breath while holding Lily's shoulder. He then stopped two Paramedics who passed them. "Wait a moment. I want to see the body."
The Paramedic stopped in his tracks. Max looked at Lily with slightly teary eyes. "I think you have to see your father first. Before they took him for an autopsy."
"What do you mean, Max? Isn't my father at the restaurant?" Lily asked in disbelief.
"Be strong, honey," Max said.
Lily continued to stare at Max in disbelief. She tried to find the lie in Max's gaze. But no matter how hard she tried, Max's eyes told him that what he said wasn't a lie. Lily then got up her courage and turned away from Max.
Lily stood next to the stretcher carried by the paramedics with a slightly trembling body. Lily swallowed her saliva and slowly opened the blanket covering the face of the person on the stretcher.
Lily gasped. Her legs suddenly became so weak as a jelly that she couldn't stand up straight. When Lily was about to fall, Ryan's hand swiftly held Lily's body.
"Dad?!" said Lily in disbelief.
"This is not possible. I must be dreaming," Lily continued.
Ryan returned to cover Mr. Graff's face with the blanket. He nodded slowly at the paramedics who were carrying Mr. Graff. The two Paramedics finally resumed their walk.
Max walked over to Lily and Ryan. Lily was still stunned in disbelief after seeing her father's body lying stiff with his body dry as if he had lost blood.
Lily looked back at Max. "Tell me, Max. Who did that to my father?"
Ryan hugged Lily. "Calm yourself, Lily."
"That's what we'll be discussing in a moment, Lily," Max replied.
Lily's eyes narrowed. "Why do we have to talk about this?"
"Because it involves Matthew. I know this must be very hard for you. I hope you are strong enough to see it. I'll show you what happened," Max said.
Max then stepped into the control room used to monitor Matthew's recovery room. Lily let go of Ryan's hand and immediately followed Max. Seeing this, Ryan couldn't help but follow Lily's steps.

The Research Assistants watching Matthew in the storage room gulped when they saw Matthew open his eyes again even though they had put him in a deep sleep phase. One of the Research Assistants immediately contacted Max.
"Max! It looks like we can't hold it in any longer. Matthew woke up on his own," said the Assistant when Max answered the phone.
"Put the temperature down again until I get there," Max said.
The research assistant then hung up the phone again. He immediately switched to the panel used to regulate the temperature in the cryonic tube that kept Matthew's body. The assistant shuddered in horror as Matthew's eyes followed his lead. After seeing two of his colleagues and his professor fall victim to Matthew, he becomes afraid that he will become Matthew's next victim.

Lily sat on the control room floor after Max showed her the recording of events that happened in Matthew's recovery room. She saw everything Matthew had done to the two paramedics and his father. Matthew is like a wild animal preying on its prey.
"This is all my fault. The accident happened because of my imperfect research," Lily muttered with a slight quiver.
Max crouched down in front of Lily. "It's not your fault Lily. We've tried our best. Things like this happen beyond our control."
"We should have tested one more time before putting the serum on Matthew," said Lily.
"We've done everything we can do before carrying out the procedure. Once again, accidents like this are beyond our control," said Max.
Lily hugged her legs and buried her face. Max immediately hugged Lily after he heard Lily sobbing. He stroked Lily's back gently. "I'm sorry for you, Lily."
After a while, Max turned to Ryan and nodded slowly. Ryan understood and immediately crouched down next to Lily. Meanwhile, Max immediately got up and left the control room.
"I'm here, Lily," Ryan said as he hugged Lily.
Lily's tears broke when Ryan hugged her. Ryan kept trying to make Lily feel comfortable by rubbing her back and head. He didn't know what to say to Lily after seeing what had happened to his father.
A few moments passed, and Lily finally let go of Ryan's hug. Lily then stood up from walking out of the control room.
"Where are you going, Lily?" cried Ryan.
Lily ignored Ryan's question and kept walking. She wanted to see the changes that had happened to Matthew by herself. The only room inside her head right now was the storage room.
Seeing Lily ignoring him, Ryan couldn't do anything but let out a long sigh. He immediately stood up and walked quickly after Lily, who had left the control room.
