Chapter 4 - Chapter Four

She was breathing heavy as she suddenly froze, images of him filling her vision. He was in her head....no not in her head; but she could hear him as if he was sitting right beside her. ** "Bowdey what the hell happened?" "I...I don't know. After the Silver Wolves took off, I grabbed her to keep her from running and....I don't know. I felt this sharp pain just shoot through my entire body and then...nothing. I got up and she was gone." Bowdey explained, trying to calm his breathing. "We will find her." "I don't know...I feel...I feel weird. Like something happened between us." **

Makenna felt her arm again, the lingering effects still present of whatever that was was that happened between them. How was she hearing him in her head? What was going on and how did she make it stop? ** "Bowdey I tried to warn you." "Aunt Sky....What....what do you mean?" "Half breeds are sneaky! They work closely with witches and vampires. They can't be trusted." "Bowdey's gonna be fine right?" *** Makenna sighed heavily as the images faded. Bowdey must have went home to his family of Hunter's she assumed; but where the hell did his aunt get off calling her sneaky? Hunter's were the ones that couldn't be trusted. She began to wounder if maybe his family knew more than they were letting on? Maybe even Bowdey. Did he know everything about his families history? Was there more than what any of them knew? The longer she sat and debated, the more she began to wounder. Finally she let out a hearty breath and stood. She decided to go ask the one immortal she vowed to never ask for help, just as the images began again.

*** Bowdey was standing still in the large, dark room as his aunt moved around him slowly, eyeing him cautiously as she trailed a finger across the deep gash in his face. She began chanting something under her breath, not loud enough to make out; but Bowdey winced in pain collapsing to the floor suddenly.**** Instantly Makenna felt as though she would pass out. His pain somehow had come to her, passed through her. She had to yet again reach out to steady herself as she took a deep breath. "What in the absolute hell!?" She grumbled to herself. She picked up her pace and decided the faster she got to Valen's, the better.
