Chapter 54 - Building

"So…The King went all out on this?" Surprised by how big and vast the plot of land was, Zack shot Blake a look of admiration.

"I'm not too sure myself…I'm sure I asked for a small plot of land though." On the other hand, Blake too was surprised since the land was much bigger than he thought he would get.

After all, he was neither a patriotic citizen of the Swordfish Kingdom nor did he make any grand accomplishments that could make the majesty be generous to him.

He merely asked his old disciple for a favor, nothing grand in his view.

Nonetheless, Blake felt grateful towards the King for the free land. The King had also exempted Blake from paying all taxes like welfare tax, land tax, and protection tax.

With a flick of his finger, piles of building materials appeared before the group within a flash.

"Woah, storage magic is so useful!" Willford looked at the tools by his feet and exclaimed.

"Indeed it is. Now, let's begin the first building of my sect, the conference hall!" Blake grabbed a hammer from the pile of tools before he fist bumped the air.

"Yes!" His three friends shouted in unison.

Without wasting another second, Blake and the gang worked together to build the conference hall.

But it didn't take long for a problem to appear.

While Willford was busy studying the blueprint of the conference hall Blake had handed to him, Zack and Amelia had run into the woods surrounding the nearby mountains to make out.

Blake was the first one to notice that his friends were missing since his senses were incredibly sharp.

But since it's so sharp, he had unintentionally overheard the sounds horny teenagers make when they are alone in the mountains.

Thus, in order to stop being reminded of how single he was, he forcefully ripped space apart before he dragged the two love birds out from their hiding spot.

"Ahhhh! What's…What's happening?!" Amelia shouted as she quickly reached for the whip by her waist.

"We were pulled through a rift in space. We're...back at the construction site?" Zack too, was about to pull out his sword when he noticed a familiar figure in the distance.

It was their pal, Willord, who was still busy studying blueprints.

"Please have some decency when you're around us. You're making this ancestor feel ashamed for being single, damnit." Blake shook his head and sighed.

"Blake?!" It was only then did the two lovebirds notice their friend standing behind them.

"How did you get behind us?"

"I was the one who ripped space apart and pulled you guys here." Blake replied flatly.

Hearing their friend's dry tone, Zack and Amelia decided to remain silent. Nothing good would come out of arguing with a person 5 great realms higher than them.

Blake took their silence as an answer, nodded his head before he continued on. "What were you two doing in the forest over there?"

"We were…" [Zack]

"We were watching porn!" [Amelia]

"Porn? As in adult videos?" [Blake]

"Yeah, I'm sure you've watched porn in your past life as well, right?" [Amelia]

"No, not really. I was banned from watching any sort of media since it could affect my state of mind when cultivating. But, if you're watching porn, why watch it in the forest where the internet signal is weak? Why not share it with your friends? Did you think we would judge you if you guys decided to watch porn out in the open?" [Blake]

"Uh…" [Amelia]

"Relax, I'm not condemning you guys for watching porn in secret. I just want to understand the younger generation and how you behave when this topic is brought up." [Blake]

Zack and Amelia, both felt their faces burning afterwards. After all, they were only 14 years olds.

They would still feel embarrassment if a friend of theirs, whose mental age was beyond 300 years old, points them out.

The three began to watch porn while they waited for their professional machinist friend to give them tasks to do.

3 hours later…

Blake, Zack and Amelia worked together to successfully build the conference hall under the guidance of Willford.

But just as Blake was about to hang his sect's nameplate onto the entrance of his conference hall, he noticed that the pillars supporting the conference hall were swaying ever so slightly.

This confused him since it was him who created and nailed the iron pillars into the ground, thus creating the foundation that will support the building.

He felt an ominous feeling afterwards.

"Uh, Willford. Could you tell me how you got your civil engineering degree in the first place?" [Blake]

"Civil engineering degree? What's that?" [Willford]

"It's a certificate that proves that you're a certified builder." [Blake]

"Oh, I don't have that. I learned all of my building skills by playing a game way back in elementary school." [Willford]

It was then did Blake understand where his bad feeling came from. "And what was the name of the game?" [Blake]

"Minecraft!" [Willford]

'Fuck.' Blake's eyes widened as he silently cursed himself in his heart.

Thus, just as he predicted, the pillars supporting the conference hall collapsed under the immense weight of the 2nd floor and roof before the entire conference hall collapsed from within.

The three friends who were smiling previously revealed looks of shock and sadness mixed together since they didn't expect their hard work to come crumbling down within an instant.

Now that it has come to this, Blake decided it would be best if he borrowed some people from the kingdom.

'It would be best if Willford doesn't go near any building projects in the future as well.' Blake couldn't help but smile wryly at the thought of this.

He thus used the scroll he got from the King to borrow soldiers from a nearby defense outpost before he ordered them to build his sect's conference hall for him.

Although the time it took to build the conference hall was longer than when he and his friends did it, the building the soldiers built was stable.

Following that, the soldiers proceeded to build a wall around the perimeter of the conference hall without Blake asking them to.

When asked why, the soldiers felt that it was a normal thing to do, since protection and privacy were important if Blake wanted to create a proper base of operations.

At the end of the day, the barren plot of land was no longer barren. Blake and his group thanked the group of soldiers before he sent them back to their outpost by cutting and connecting the two spaces together.
