The battle between Blake and the Immortal raged on.
Just when Blake's halberd was about to cut the Immortal, 6 colour rings appeared from beneath his feet! 2 yellow and 4 purple?!
'What? A Ringmaster?! What's a Ringmaster doing here?' Blake was shocked beyond belief.
If you're wondering what's a Ringmaster, well...they are a group of cultivators that come from another dimension. In that dimension, they use a type of soul beings...Martial Spirits if you want it simple... along with killing beasts of their world, varying ages and types...they would get different Spirit Rings to help boost their battle prowess and aptitude. Blake would call them Ring Masters since it was easier to remember it this way.
Now, the young man before him had six rings! A six ring Ring Master! That means he's strong but he's nowhere near being an Immortal, much less even reaching that realm.
The 6 ring Ring Master held out his hand and a fireball instantly appeared! He shot the fireball towards Blake in an attempt to show how much was different between the two of them.
Of course, Blake was still confused by the Ring Master's sudden presence. 'Was there a breach in the space seals? Were there supposed to be more Ring Masters in this boring ass world?? Should I exterminate them if they were really more???' Questions like these continued to bubble up in his head as he was caught in the blast of that fireball.
Blake just got downright blasted by the Ringmaster. He was blown back, crashing into a nearby wall. There was now a Blake-sized hole in that particular wall. Blake tried to get up but another fireball blasted him again! He was blasted nonstop by a barrage of fireballs. It would seem like it would never end, though Blake wasn't really taking any damage.
After another 5 waves of fireball barrages, the Ring Master finally stopped. To be honest, the Ring Master had already drained himself after casting the 4th wave of fireballs. He just didn't underestimate Blake and went all out. His face paled a different shade of white and his body trembled from spirit energy deficiency. He even found it difficult to stand up straight.
'That must be it! There's no way that kid is alive!' The ringmaster thought inwardly, hope shining within his eyes.
Too bad his hope immediately dispersed as Blake got up from the rubble unscathed. He stretched both of his arms, legs and neck. "Alright, warm up is over...Mr. Ringmaster!"
And just like that, Blake lightly tapped the ground with his foot and propelled himself towards the ringmaster like a missile. As Blake was charging forward, he swung both his arms and clapped really hard. The shockwaves produced tore through the air with lightning speed. This was Blake's third move, Lightning Wave. The ring master could barely react in time to dodge the incoming attack and therefore had his right knee get chopped off. Oof!!!
The 6 ring Ring Master screamed in agony. His wails were reflected by the walls of the room they were in. The ringmaster not only felt intense pain physically, but mentally as well since Lightning Wave was also counted as a mental attack. The lightning attribute has the ability to directly attack one's mental sea, depending on the situation and the opponents' cultivation, they could probably be stunned for a period of time.
After a while, the ring master finally stopped screaming. The pain had numbed away and the blood had already stopped flowing. He tried to stand up but lost balance immediately, falling on his behind. He eyed Blake with fear and shock. Excuse me, just how old is this brat? How is he so god damn powerful?! Could he have originated from that academy?? Oh great god, just what kind of monster is this kid?!!
Blake just stood there, calm and collected when he sliced off his opponent's leg. Unfazed with all the blood gushing out of him. But he did feel annoyed at the ring master's painful cries. Of course, he refrained from slitting the ring master's throat and decided to bear with it. Once that was done, Blake bent down to the miserable ring master's height. His eyes carried a tranquil yet deathly aura, as if saying the world was like but only an ant to Blake. Although his strength was only that of a Magic Practitioner, he was already very freaking strong, thanks to the vast amount of knowledge and techniques he acquired in his past life and during his stay in the afterlife. Elysium's library had all the cultivation, techniques and information that was sought to be lost and cannot be found anywhere anymore stored there. It was a great experience for Blake, even though his stay was short-lived.
Now back to reality.
The ringmaster was frozen in fright as Blake walked over. His heart rate was beating so fast that if he didn't have a rib cage, his heart would have shot out of his chest. He wanted to run but he couldn't, he wanted to beg for his life but he couldn't either. His body and soul had been deprived of spirit energy. Even trying to move his own body would give him pain beyond belief. And when Blake bent down to take a closer look at the ringmaster, he peed himself.
"Did you just pee yourself??" Blake asked.
"No..." The Ringmaster denied.
"I'm quite certain you just peed yourself," Blake continued.
"Please don't kill me! I've overstepped my boundaries by a bit only! I sw...sw...swear that I hadn't done anything wrong!" Fear crept into the ring master's heart as he begged Blake to be merciful.
"Now, why would I do that??"Blake calmly stared at the frightened ring master. Not so much of a master now, aren't ya? He thought. "Well, I can skip killing you if you can give me some answers I want...Do you accept, Ring Master?"
