"What did you say?" Young-Jae asked, taken aback. He released a deep breath and shook his head.
Oh my god, he doesn't like me.
He didn't like me like I liked him.
This was awkward.
Was this like a one-time thing or something?
"Bee," He started, getting up from the bed but I already knew what he was gonna say.
"Don't. I already know." I rushed out of his room, fixing my dress. I ran to the guest room and headed to the bathroom. I needed to wash up. I pushed the straps of my dress down my shoulders and noticed the blue-red marks that surprised me for a second. Hickeys.
Nice, now I'll remember what happened for at least a week.
They were beautiful though, you know like a little galaxy full of small nebulae.
I needed to cover these up for the time being. Stripping off completely I got into the shower.
I can't believe I did that. That was so stupid of me. I squealed out of frustration and ran a rough hand through my hair under the shower water.
A loud knock on my door surprised me and then a bang followed it, scaring the shit out of me. I quickly wrapped a towel around me and rushed out the washroom only to find Young-Jae lying face-first on the floor, not moving at all.
"Young-Jae, what happened!" I rushed to him and held him up by the shoulders but he just looked down embarrassed.
"I was knocking on your door and then when I pushed in, I tripped on my own feet," I laughed at his silliness and he hid his face into my neck causing redness on my cheeks.
This was not okay. I was just wearing a towel around myself and with one single tug, it'd be away from me.
"Bee, I like you too," My breath hitched and I drew in a deep breath at his words.
"You do?" He hummed in response and I smiled to myself.
"Let me get into some clothes first, then we'll talk about it," I said peeling myself from his body.
"That won't be necessary", he rasped pulling me up with him. I patted his chest and then pushed him away.
"Don't get your hope high, nothing's happening," I said, my arms still around his neck and he made a noot from his lips. I pressed my finger on them and he kissed it.
"But hey, to talk about us, I think we should get to know each other more before we officially get together and y'know, date." He said playing with the ends of my wet hair.
"Of course, let's take our time, life is complicated as it is already and we've known each other for like a week," I replied kissing his cheek.
"But why are you acting as if you've never dated before, like you've never had a girl you like confess to you?" I asked snickering a little. He turned blood red and all my suspicions were cleared.
"OH MY GOD, YOU HAVEN'T?" I scream out in surprise.
"Don't make fun of me! I'm experienced in other things."
"Sure, you're a very experienced man of course." I teased, and he tickled my sides.
"Young-Jae! the towel's gonna fall off, stop," I ran off and he ran after me through the whole room. I stumbled upon the foot of the bed and a loud thud was made, he quickly came up behind me and held my waist resting his chin on my shoulder. I turned around and kissed him on the lips. As soon as he parted his lips and took mine, morphing them together, I melted into a puddle. He pulled one of my legs up in his hold so his body was closer.
"Oh my-" Kyle gasps. Wait, Kyle? Kyle, why was he here?!
Oh my- Kyle was here. We both turned our heads to look at him while he was just standing there with his eyes tightly shut and face flushed red, in his Pyjamas.
"Kyle! what are you doing here?"
"Your towel's gonna slip off any moment, please wear something first." He spat quickly, eyes still closed. I rushed into the bathroom and closed the door behind me.
"I swear this is not what it looks like, we weren't gonna fuck or something," I heard Young-Jae say and I scoffed. Yeah, real smooth Young-Jae, like we hadn't done that something already.
"Please I saw the hickeys all over her and I can see that you're uh, excited. Quite excited." Kyle said scoffing too. Great.
"Shit," I heard Young-Jae curse and chuckled. Poor baby. I wore my clothes and came out of the bathroom.
"Are you gonna tell the others?" I asked pursing my lips together.
"Like they don't already know," he smirked, trying to hold in a few giggles but the worried looks on our faces gave it away that this wasn't the time to be kidding. "Hey, hey, it's okay! It's totally fine, as long as you guys look after each other."
I sigh in relief at his assuring tone but my eyebrows stay scrunched together in worry.
"You might think it's okay, the rest of the boys might not," Jae murmurs quietly and my worry only grows at his behavior.
"Come on, you're acting like you don't know your own friends," Kyle laughs loudly and closes the door shut behind him before settling onto the guest room's bed with a thump and bounced a little off the mattress. "Don't get stressed over it. They already really like Bee."
"What? They like her too?", I frown as Jae's lips turn downwards and he slumps as if disappointed to even speak.
"Yeah...?", Kyle questions in confusion, scratching the back of his head with twitching lips. "I mean we all like her?"
"I'm not sharing," he announced, one hand on his hip and the other sassily waving. It was as if totally serious about it.
"You're not serious, are you?", I asked, huffing in disbelief. "Jae, what do you think they mean by 'Liking me'?"
"That the boys want you to be their boyfriend?", he murmurs scowling at me.
"You're a Himbo," I state plainly and Kyle seconds it immediately.
"Sure as hell he is the dumbest person if that's what he inferred by everything," Kyle snorts and I realized this was the first time we were having such a decent conversation. It made me smile unconsciously and he smiled back, probably realizing the same thing at the same time.
"Guys!", Young-Jae whines. "I got a little protective, okay? I know what you meant and I'm not a HIMBO!"
Kyle and I look at each other before bursting into loud laughter that even though Jae was offended at first, he joined in not even half a minute later. Serotonin flowed throughout my body and all my worries left me for a minute. This was nice.
"Oh god, did we perhaps wake them up? Seok-Min is going to be pissed," Kyle sighs and bites his lower lip in deep thought.
"So? I guess I'll just go sleep, you two take care, okay?", he murmurs, already standing up to leave.
"Yes, we will," I assured. "You should sleep now, it's quite late."
"Yeah, it is," Jae yawned. "I'm going to sleep too," he announced lazily throwing himself on the guest room's bed.
"Always the same," Kyle throws the elder a glance before leaving and closing the door gently enough to not make any sounds.
"Get up," I instruct but Jae only opens his eyes. "Go to your room," sighing, I fall onto the bed too.
"No, I want to sleep over here tonight," at this, my head turns in his direction and he smiles. "With you."
"Like I told you, nothing's happening," I deadpan but roll over closer to him anyway.
"I know, I know," he murmurs sleepily pulling me closer. "But we're getting to know each other right now."
"Like this?", I ask, gesturing to the very little space between us and it only irks Kae to close that gap too.
"Yeah, like this we'll get to know each other's sleeping habit's too, y'know?", I laugh at his hazy voice and closed eyes before shifting into his embrace to faintly brush my lips against his forehead. "I'm not asleep yet. Do it again when I'll be asleep."
"Now I won't do it ever again," I grunt, trying to shift away but not actually trying as Jae's arm came around my waist and he pulled me in tighter. "Never ever."
"Never say never."
