Chapter 11 - eleven

"Bee, did you read the documents?" Jake asked and I flinched suddenly. The mint-boy was already having a great impact on me, how could I let him tease me just like that?

"No, I, uh, I'll read them now." I said fanning my face a little then I made the mistake of turning my face towards Young-Jae and immediately regretted it. The boy was adjusting his pants, resulting in his white tee riding up a little. I internally drooled at the sight but lucky for me, he didn't seem to notice me staring. I cleared my throat and spread my palm in front of him, waiting for him to hand over the files he had set down on other side of him on the little coffee table.

"What? You want me to hold your hand, Princess?" He said very gently taking my hand. He seemed really confused, eyes lightly squinted and brows furrowed. He resembled something I had seen before but I couldn't put my finger on it. What was it?

"No, I was asking for the files but it looks like you love holding hands," I replied softly gesturing to my hand he was almost holding in his.

"No, I don't, I mean who even does that, Holding hands? Pfft, eww no, I don't like it, I swear I don-" I bit my lip to stop a grin from spreading on my face. Now, it was too clear that loved it. Liar.

"It's okay, I don't care anyway so just pass me the files." He pressed his lips into a thin line and nodded. As soon as the files were in my hand, I began to scan through them for potential enemies and suspects. This wasn't working, how was I supposed to know how dangerous somebody was just by their names.

"I don't think this is working, I'm so angry, there's no clue, no lead," I said tugging on my hair in frustration. Trevor looked at me a little worried and gently pushed Young-Jae's arm that was about to wrap around me and nodded at him mouthing, 'I'll take care of it.'

"Bee, Princess, It's okay, we'll be helping you, he helped us a lot too," Seok-Min said trying to ease me up. It was not working.

"Come here Bee", Trevor wrapped his arm around me and tightly squeezed me. "Like he said, we're here to help aren't we?"

"Mhmm. Let's look through all the files and then think of something if it's still difficult."

"Okay" he replied and immediately got up to go.

"I'll go bring all the files. We'll all sit together and go through them no matter how long it takes."

All of them nod in agreement and Kyle goes along with Trevor too.

-

It was dark outside now, we had skimmed through at least two bundles of files and Trevor had broke into a new set of files saved in my father's system via his skills. I was quite astonished when I found out that this boy was the hacker. Honestly speaking I had never heard anything remotely smart from Trevor so It was quite a shocker.

"I'm more than just tired now, it's nap time," Young-Jae said yawning. Trevor agreed and slipped down from the couch onto the floor giving me enough space to move away from Young-Jae. Ha, chance taken.

"You guys should rest, I'll leave after looking a bit more." I said and gave them a smile.

"You should rest too, you can stay too if you want to." Jake said stretching up and then dumping himself onto Trevor who immediately cuddled him. Cuties.

"But if you're uncomfortable, we'll drop you off?" Nathan said and I shook my head.

"It's okay, you guys really did help a lot plus I don't think anybody would try something and I can always beat them up." I said with a wink. He chuckled and nodded, leaving it to me.

"Yeah, your fangs will come out and you'll bite him, we completely understand, and nobody wants to mess with vampires, of course." Young-Jae said sarcastically and rolled his eyes. I clenched my jaw and elbowed him hard in the gut. He winced and doubled into a curled up ball.

I started opening and reading the various PDFs and Word Documents on the laptop. After I decided to call it a day and get up, I heard a soft thud and saw Young-Jae sleeping with his hands laying limply at his sides. His head was on the coffee table. I sighed and got up from the couch. All the boys were out of it and on the floor except Seok-Min who was sleeping sitting on the couch. His face still as calm and pretty as possible.

I crouched down in front of Young-Jae on my heels. He was sleeping really deep, softly snoring and not even moving a little. I carefully picked his head up and straightened his torso. like I said he looked like a heavy sleeper and didn't weigh much so I easily shifted him.

I placed his head on the couch head and then straightened his legs so he was lying on his back on the couch. He immediately curled into himself and mumbles something along the lines of 'don't touch me'. He's cute when he sleeps.

I reached for my jacket lying on the arm head of the other couch and tumbled over Trevor's leg which he had thrusted out to wrap over Jake completely. I stumbled back and ended up sitting between the arm of the couch and Young-Jae's head. It was a save. Could've been a whole lot worse, I could've ended up sitting on his face or even worse fall upon him. I sighed and slumped into the couch.

Young-Jae stirred in his sleep and tossed to change the side he was laying on. He shifted more and more till he just straight up whimpered. Truth to be told, I was scared. Was he having a nightmare? I reached my arm into his hair and his whole body tensed first then relaxed. He shifted straight into my lap hugging my neck like a little child while I froze in my spot.

What was up with him? He was so tightly wrapped onto me that I was pretty sure he was having a nightmare. I had been a psychologist before I left my job to start training and knowing that he was having an episode, I couldn't just leave him because he was a meanie. My neck started hurting because of how hard he was clinging to it and I almost whined.
