[Cleaning lv2]
[Knife handling lv1]
As it turns out blood is quite hard to get out of tiling, I'm just glad the cleaning cupboard restocks as well. Especially since I was using the wrong tools once again, this time when cleaning.
Preparing to try again, I used a butcher knife to cleanly cut off the sheep leg. I used a shaver to shear off the wool into the bin and I cut a thick slice out of it. The body and remaining leg evaporated and I place the slice onto the pan. Whilst that cooks, I pull out a corn on the cob and plate that ready for the meat.
[Butchery lv1]
When I see the meat browned enough, I slide it onto the plate. Finally an edible enough meal. It only took about 3 bottles of bleach and hours of my day. Using observe I take a look at my magnum opus.
[Inedible mutton and corn]
That's just harsh, it isn't that bad. After prodding the meat I realise that only 1 side of the meat is cooked, the other is just raw and dry. "This might take some practice."

Finally, I created a dish I could be proud of. It took vast amounts of trial and error but something clicked when I reached level five and I made a lamb head soup. Steamed and singed, I was quite proud of it, the soup had a nice earthy texture and the meat fell off the bone.
[Requirements met lv5 cooking/vinter/brewer/barista. Universe linking, please spin the wheel]
"Holy shit!" I jump back, spilling my pride and joy of a dish everywhere. I actually forgot all about the whole 7 days thing, I was just enjoying cooking. I cleaned up the mess and finally acknowledged the giant gaudy multicoloured wheel sticking out of the wall.
"Just spin it?" I hesitatingly grab one of the handles on it and drag it down. It spins and blurs until finally slowing down to the point I can read the notches, just as I start reading one properly, it stops. Glancing at the result, I see it reads 'Elden ring- mid timeline'. I may as well not have read it, no idea what that means.
The wheel slinks back into the wall and I pour myself a half-pint of cider, finding it awoke a sweet tooth of mine I never knew I had. Though I can't say I appreciated what it did to me, it made preparing that salad so much more difficult. There were only 3 options for drinks available, tap water, apple cider and lager.
Just as I'm about to finish off the drink, the door bursts open. Oddly robed smaller people barged in, stone masks that cover their heads protecting them as they all hold staffs pointing at me.
"Oh! Are you the customers? I haven't had one of them yet"
"State your purpose, why have you conjured a door in the Raya Lucaria academy?" A taller man in the front said, I could almost see an outline of a sword projecting from his staff.
"What?" I was just stood here having a drink… I'm gonna assume this is part of that elden ring thing. "Ah, so your universe got linked to me as part of a whole multiversal relaxant thing. So I sell you food and drink and you give me random stuff in return."
Silence swept the room as all the mages stood there confused, I took the opportunity to finish my drink off and wash it. Much to the obvious confusion of them.
"So you sell food and drink? Do you accept runes as payment, or do you intend to extract something else from us?"
"I have no idea what a rune is, but apparently I'm allowed to accept about anything as payment from goods, services to currency." I dry off the glass and place it back where I got it from.
They seemed to talk between themselves for a bit before the one in front said, "I would like a glass of water" though caution laced his tone, I just shrugged,
"Just water? Alright I guess, I'm not gonna charge for water." I just got some tap water in a glass and gave it to him. It was actually quite funny to watch as he took a moment to take the giant boulder of a helmet off his head. In this time, awkward looks were exchanged between everyone else.
Finally he took a sip of it, stating that it tasted quite fresh compared to the boiled lake water they had to drink. The others all got water aside from one who asked for something called mead.
"What's mead?" I asked.
"Oh it's a fermented honey drink, some places put fruit in it. Me and my dad used to make it, before I became a student here that is." He answered.
"Can you teach me how to make it? Free food and drink for 2 weeks if you do." I try to capitalise on his former expertise, may as well try to make something that's in demand in this place.
"Uh sure, it doesn't take too long as long as you have the right kit." He looks over to the apparent leader and gets the approval needed. He removes his helmet and I take him to the kitchen.

[Mead making lv2]
Jorhaya was a pretty decent guy, he taught me the nice little variations you can do to it, with all the fruit at my disposal, I made in total about 50 different meads of varying alcohol percentage and flavour. Like he said, it doesn't take long to do the set up but I do have to wait 3 weeks before they can be sold.
Just like the mutton leg or any of my combinations or butchery results, I will have a replenishing source of mead should they turn out to be fit for consumption.
